Have you ever wondered why September is dedicated to Our Lady of Sorrows? 💙

The Church places before us the Sorrowful Mother, reminding us that Mary did not flee when suffering came. She remained. She trusted. She stood faithfully beneath the Cross.

As September begins, may we bring our own sorrows to Our Lady and ask her to teach us how to remain close to Jesus through every trial.

Please pray for the repose of the soul of Rev. Robert J. Camacho who died on Sunday, August 30, in Elgin. A visitation will take place on Thursday, September 3 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m., at St. Laurence Parish, Elgin. Mass of Christian burial will take place on Friday, September 4 at 11:00 a.m., also at St. Laurence Parish, Elgin with visitation from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., prior to the Funeral Mass.
