Anxiety and Depression have been around for thousands of years, as evidenced by many Biblical examples that address these issues. However, these struggles have been exacerbated in recent years because of Covid and uncertainty of what the future holds. Pastor Tim addressed the issue of anxiety this past Sunday. He says, "I have lived through depression and anxiety and I share firsthand accounts of how God led me through to victory. I have tried to handle these struggles the wrong way, but thank God by making some correct choices I found hope and healing through Jesus!"

Next Sunday we will begin a new series titled Spring Cleaning. We all have some hurts, habits, or hangups that we need to get rid of! The Gathering is a time of worship and a message from God's Word that takes place during the Sunday School hour at First Baptist Church Elberton. Everyone is welcome @ The Gathering, but there are also separate classes upstairs in the ROC for younger children and older children and we have a class for students (6th grade and up) that takes place in the Student Room. Come worship with us next Sunday, April 7th!
