3 of our High School students along with Kyle and myself (Caraline) attended a weekend retreat this past weekend; Seek and You will find.
The weekend was filled with fun, love, new friendships and of course- most important, Jesus.
Here’s what our teens had to say about the retreat:
“The retreat was super fun! It allowed me to grow closer to God and showed me that if I’m looking for him I’ll find him. I loved the retreat and I would go again next year” - Emerson Ulrich, 9th grade
“I attended a church retreat where I learned more about my faith and grew. But that’s not all, I also met a lot of new friends. Each day I was there I had so much fun. We prayed together, attended mass and adoration- OH! And can’t forget WATER GAMES! The retreat was a fun and meaningful experience that helped strengthen my relationship with God. I also had a lot of fun just talking with other people” - Heidi Kaiser, 9th grade
“My thoughts about the Seek and you will find retreat were very high!, I really enjoyed myself this weekend. I came into this weekend nervous of not being able to make friends or not having fun, but the outcome was much greater than I expected . My favorite thing had to be adoration Saturday night along with confession, it was very peaceful and I really felt the Holy Spirit in the moment, and walking out to wait for confession was beautiful with the pink sky lit up over the Bay, truly beautiful! . But overall I had lots of fun at this retreat and will definitely be back next year!”- Roman Clark,10th grade
Thank you to the parents for investing in your child’s faith journey, to the students for giving their weekend fully to the Lord and growing in relationship with Him, and to our parish for all your love and support.
We (Kyle and I) are so grateful for the opportunity to serve our youth and get to help them with their journey to Heaven. Little do they know, they’re also helping us.
