VBS Day 3 Pics! And the Gospel was proclaimed throughout, from start to finish!

Our final night is this evening! Parents, even if your kiddos haven't been able to come, we invite your kiddos for our last Jesus-filled day, not to mention, to watch possibly two grown adults get slimed on stage, as we crown the winner between the boys and girls to see who raised the most for our mission partners, the Rainbows in Uganda!

We pray that the Light of Jesus shine bright in all the kid's hearts from this week, and especially tonight!

Vacation Bible School day #2 is tonight! And what an incredible first night it was yesterday!

Tonight's stories are Jesus' baptism and his miracles. And, the challenge has been set for our kiddos...bringing their loose change to help the Rainbows in Uganda shine the Light of Jesus in their ministry at Shalom!

Today starts VBS!

Alot of work to get ready for this week’s kiddos. But all that matters now is what we do with the greatest spiritual resource we have, THE GOSPEL!

Pray for the Light to shine in their little hearts.

Pray that the Gospel would be intentional in everything we do while the children are here.

Pray that the glory of Christ’s gospel go back to the homes of these children and their families!

And above all, that His Gospel illuminate our hearts as we are reminded how Jesus came into our lives and pulled us out of the jaws of darkness!

AMEN!🙏

-Summer Sunday School-
Today we covered the first two commandments and asked some tough questions:

- What are some things that children can make more important than God?
- What are some things that adults can make more important than God?
- Think hard…what are some things that you, children, could put all your energy and focus in, and make you forget about God?
- Think hard…what are some things that adults might put too much energy and focus in, and make them forget about God?
- Where do you think children get their idolatry from? (they named several, including adults)
- What are ways that we can do to love God more?

Our Kid's Church Lesson was from 1 John 3:4-10, titled, "Practicing Jesus Makes Perfect"

Our application questions:

1) If we continue to practice sin, what does that mean about knowing Jesus?
2) If we continue to practice sin, who are we just like, who has been practicing sin since the beginning?
3) If we don’t practice both, to do right AND to love, who are we children of, and who do we really practice for?

We are ready for Vacation Bible School here at Heaston.

How is the Light in YOUR WORLD? How is your heart today? Dispel the darkness, follow and truly know Jesus today!

Last full day to touch up and transform our classes, our hallways, and our areas. The building will be open through the day, so come and go when you can, lunch is once again provided.
