At Heaston Kids, we teach with grace and love, but we don't apologize for teaching the truth. Our kids are God's truth for tomorrow, and we won't compromise.
Our Kid's Church lesson was from Genesis 1:26-31, titled:
"STAMPED BY GOD: With His image. To fill the earth. To rule it."
Here are are some of the questions we asked our kiddos:
1)In Gen 1:27-28, what are the ONLY two kind of people that God made, and what was their special purpose for the earth?
A: God made ONLY MAN and WOMAN, in His image, for the special purpose of filling the earth by making children AND to help rule the earth.
2) If we are made in God’s image, how should we view ourselves and treat others?
A: We are stamped by God in His image, so that makes each of us very special. It also means we should treat others with respect, because all people carry God’s stamp as their image.
3) When God created humanity, was he confused, and make anything else other than man or woman, to fill the earth with children?
A: Absolutely not. God’s Word and Truth say that He only created man and woman, nothing in between, or inferior, that would make His creation not good.
4) Should a man be a woman? Should a woman be a man? What do you think God thinks of that?
A: No. It brings sadness to God because that was not His original design. It is sinful. Only a man and a woman are designed to make children and to be who God originally designed them to be.
5)When God made humanity, what responsibility did he give them over the earth?
A: He made humanity to be good rulers over the planet.
