PRAYER FOR TUESDAY, OCTOBER 13, 2026
Saint Edward the Confessor and Saint Theophilus of Antioch
28th Week in Ordinary Time
Beloved God, good and merciful Father:
The first rays of the sun announce a new dawn. Today I come before You with a heart full of gratitude for the gift of life, for the night’s rest, and for the opportunity to begin anew under Your loving gaze.
Thank You, Lord, because Your goodness does not depend on my merits, and Your mercy sustains me even when my strength seems to fade.
Thank You for my family, for our daily bread, for the people who walk beside me, and for the small blessings that so often go unnoticed.
Heavenly Father, I place this Tuesday into Your hands.
Enlighten my thoughts, guide my decisions, and accompany me in every responsibility. May my plans never draw me away from You, and may my desires remain ever open to Your holy will.
Grant me wisdom to recognize what is truly essential, patience to accept what I cannot change, and courage to fulfill with love what is entrusted to me today.
Lord, bless my home and all the people I love.
Where there is misunderstanding, let dialogue flourish. Where there is resentment, grant us the grace of forgiveness. Where love has grown weak, help us rebuild it with humility and perseverance.
Do not let pride rule our words, nor let anxiety extinguish our trust in You.
Merciful Father, You know our needs, our illnesses, and those burdens we carry in silence.
I pray to You for those who are suffering today.
Strengthen the sick, accompany the lonely, comfort those who weep, and uphold families walking through hardship.
Grant us the health and sustenance we need according to Your Providence. And whenever we must endure trials, give us the grace to remain united to Christ.
Lord Jesus, You taught us to trust the Father.
Today I make Your words my own:
“Not my will, but yours be done.”
Luke 22:42.
For faith does not consist in demanding that everything happen as we expect, but in trusting Your love even when we do not understand Your ways.
Protect me from all evil, especially from the sin that could separate me from You.
Teach me to respond with prudence to those who offend me, never harboring desires for revenge, and recognizing that those who hurt me also stand in need of Your mercy.
Increase my faith, Lord.
May I not rely solely on my own strength, but learn to cooperate humbly with Your grace.
If I receive joy today, may I know how to give thanks.
If I encounter difficulties, may I not lose hope.
If I achieve a goal, may I remain humble.
And if I fail, may I find in You the strength to rise and continue.
Following the example of Saint Edward the Confessor, help me live with justice, generosity, and a spirit of service.
And guided by the witness of Saint Theophilus of Antioch, strengthen my love for the truth and my desire to know You more each day.
Beloved God, I do not know all that this Tuesday will bring, but I know I can place my life into Your hands.
I do not ask You for a path without difficulties, but for a heart that remains faithful.
I do not ask You for wealth, but for what is necessary to live with dignity and share with generosity.
I do not ask that all my wishes be fulfilled, but that Your will may always find a dwelling place in my heart.
May this day be an opportunity to love better, serve with joy, forgive sincerely, and draw closer to You.
Into Your hands I commit my family, my duties, my hopes, and my worries.
May Your grace go with me, may Your Word enlighten my path, and may Your love transform my heart.
I entrust everything to Your infinite mercy.
Through Jesus Christ, our Lord.

Amado Dios, Padre bueno y misericordioso:
Los primeros rayos del sol anuncian un nuevo amanecer. Hoy me acerco a Ti con un corazón agradecido por el regalo de la vida, por el descanso de la noche y por la oportunidad de comenzar nuevamente bajo tu mirada amorosa.
Gracias, Señor, porque tu bondad no depende de mis méritos y tu misericordia me sostiene incluso cuando mis fuerzas parecen agotarse.
Gracias por mi familia, por el pan de cada día, por las personas que me acompañan y por las pequeñas bendiciones que muchas veces pasan inadvertidas.
Padre celestial, pongo en tus manos este martes.
Ilumina mis pensamientos, orienta mis decisiones y acompáñame en cada responsabilidad. Que mis proyectos no me alejen de Ti y que mis deseos estén siempre abiertos a tu santa voluntad.
Concédeme sabiduría para reconocer lo verdaderamente importante, paciencia para aceptar aquello que no puedo cambiar y valentía para cumplir con amor lo que hoy me corresponde.
Señor, bendice mi hogar y a todas las personas que amo.
Que donde exista incomprensión florezca el diálogo. Donde haya resentimiento, danos la gracia del perdón. Donde se haya debilitado el amor, ayúdanos a reconstruirlo con humildad y perseverancia.
No permitas que el orgullo gobierne nuestras palabras ni que las preocupaciones apaguen nuestra confianza en Ti.
Padre misericordioso, Tú conoces nuestras necesidades, nuestras enfermedades y aquellas preocupaciones que guardamos en silencio.
Te suplico por quienes hoy sufren.
Fortalece al enfermo, acompaña al que se siente solo, consuela a quien llora y sostén a las familias que atraviesan dificultades.
Concédenos la salud y el sustento necesarios, conforme a tu Providencia. Y cuando debamos atravesar pruebas, danos la gracia de permanecer unidos a Cristo.
Señor Jesús, Tú nos enseñaste a confiar en el Padre.
Hoy quiero hacer mías tus palabras:
“Que no se haga mi voluntad, sino la tuya”.
Lucas 22,42.
Porque la fe no consiste en exigir que todo suceda como esperamos, sino en confiar en tu amor incluso cuando no comprendemos tus caminos.
Protégeme de todo mal, especialmente del pecado que puede apartarme de Ti.
Enséñame a responder con prudencia ante quienes me ofenden, a no guardar deseos de venganza y a reconocer que también quienes me lastiman necesitan tu misericordia.
Aumenta mi fe, Señor.
Que no dependa únicamente de mis capacidades, sino que aprenda a colaborar humildemente con tu gracia.
Si hoy recibo una alegría, que sepa agradecerla.
Si encuentro dificultades, que no pierda la esperanza.
Si alcanzo alguna meta, que permanezca humilde.
Y si fracaso, que encuentre en Ti la fortaleza para levantarme y continuar.
A ejemplo de San Eduardo el Confesor, ayúdame a vivir con justicia, generosidad y espíritu de servicio.
Y siguiendo el testimonio de San Teófilo de Antioquía, fortalece mi amor por la verdad y mi deseo de conocerte cada día más.
Amado Dios, no sé todo lo que traerá este martes, pero sé que puedo poner mi vida en tus manos.
No te pido un camino sin dificultades, sino un corazón que permanezca fiel.
No te pido riquezas, sino lo necesario para vivir dignamente y compartir con generosidad.
No te pido que se cumplan todos mis deseos, sino que tu voluntad encuentre siempre un lugar en mi corazón.
Que este día sea una oportunidad para amar mejor, servir con alegría, perdonar sinceramente y acercarme más a Ti.
En tus manos pongo mi familia, mis responsabilidades, mis esperanzas y también mis preocupaciones.
Que tu gracia me acompañe, que tu Palabra ilumine mi camino y que tu amor transforme mi corazón.
Todo lo confío a tu infinita misericordia.
