Truth doesn’t change with public opinion. And following Scripture won’t always make you popular.

There are plenty of things in the Bible that people would rather not hear. But if we change what we preach because the crowd doesn’t like it, then the crowd has become our authority.

The question isn’t, “What will people accept?” It’s, “What does the Bible say?” 🙏🏼

Every person at Hillcrest has a story. Maybe someone welcomed you when you first walked through the doors. Maybe a sermon came at just the right time, a Sunday School teacher invested in your family, or a church member prayed with you through a difficult season. Maybe Hillcrest is where you came to know Christ, grew deeper in His Word, found lifelong friends, or discovered a place to serve.

Those stories matter!

When we share what God has done in our lives, we remind one another of His faithfulness, and our testimony can encourage someone who needs to hear that God is still at work.

Good morning everyone, it's a blessing to be able to serve alongside the folks at Hillcrest. One of the obvious things we can do for one another is hold each other up in prayer. We will be praying for our fellow members/ attenders today. Would you join us as we go to God's throne for his mercy and grace? Again, we meet at 12:15 in person or on facebook live.

Who gets the final say? Because everybody claiming to speak for God can’t be right.

That’s why we keep coming back to the Bible. We don’t build what we believe on personalities, opinions, or what somebody claims God told them. We build it on what God has already written! 🙏🏼

We’ve probably all said it: “I just don’t have time.” But somehow, our phones have a way of showing us that the minutes were there. 😅

This isn’t about feeling guilty over your screen time. It’s about asking a worthwhile question: Am I making room for God’s Word in my everyday life? 🙏🏼

You don’t need the perfect reading plan, a quiet house, or an uninterrupted hour. Start with a few minutes. Open your Bible. Read what God has said. Think about it. Pray about it. Then do it again tomorrow.

We make time for what matters to us. Let’s make time to grow in the Word. 📖
