The only way to adequately honor those who sacrificed their lives on 09/11, is to prioritize what America and Americans meant to them. Stand tall and honor the flag, our military, law enforcement, and first responders.

Sent to me from a current Dallas Police Officer:

His name is Sgt Allen and he’s assigned to Dallas Police Department Central Division 4th Watch.

This is a picture of a girl who was standing nearby and watched Dallas PD and Dallas Fire Rescue handle a critical incident involving a man contemplating jumping off a building. After the man was safely taken off the building and sent to seek medical attention, this girl nervously walked over to the officers on scene and had one request.

Sgt Allen responded and asked, “What can we do for your sweetheart?”. The girl asked, “I love you guys and I want to see if I can give one of you guys a hug.”

With no hesitation, Sgt Allen reached out and hugged the girl for about a minute. This picture right here portrays Sgt Allen 100%. This year was a rough year for him after being hospitalized with a medical condition. In his hospital bed, he would text every one of his troops to see how they were doing.

After being discharged from the hospital and back to work, he still walked into detail with a smile and said hello to everyone.

As an officer, I want everyone to know how amazing this leader is and no matter how the political climate is today, there’s still leaders out there who will make sure his troops are happy and have the backing they need to go to work.

Thank you Sgt Allen.

- Dallas Police Officer

It’s officers like him that embody what it is to be a police officer. They need our support now more than ever. Thank an officer today.

Time to stand

09/02/2020

It is very difficult to see what is becoming of our country with all the rioting and violence. Needless bloodshed and anarchy abounds in our major cities. The rule of law has been set aside and those who are to enforce it have been handcuffed by politicians. I am grateful to live in El Paso. There are certain things, climate wise, that I'm not crazy about, but here I sit.
We are blessed to have law enforcement officers and first responders who still care. We have a Police Chief, Greg Allen, who rose through the ranks and knows El Paso well. Many native El Pasoans are serving their community behind the badge. Let's continue to pray for them. May "defunding" never become an operative word for our local politicians. Our corporate prayer is the anchor of this community. Let's "take a knee" not as the spoiled millionaires in professional sports do, but as believers in the One who loved us first and will never leave us or forsake us.
