New Wine Family:

On May 1, 2026, Doris H. Brown left this earth to see her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, face-to-face.

Doris was born June 11, 1939, to Artur and Emma Siegel in Frankfurt, Germany, three months before the onset of World War II. After the death of her father, Doris was raised by her aunts Hedwig Siegel and Margot Kuhn from age nine. She met the love of her life, Rance Brown, in 1956, and they were married on February 25, 1958. In 1968, Doris took great joy in becoming a naturalized US citizen and getting an American passport.

Their daughters Schatzi [Fry] and Mona [Carter] were born in 1959 and 1962, respectively. Doris prioritized family and delighted in loving her husband of 68 years, two daughters, four grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

While he was in the service, Doris followed her husband to South Carolina, Virginia, Texas, and the countries of Panama and Germany. Rance left the US Army to retire in El Paso, Texas, in 1981.

They attended little Biggs Chapel for over 30 years, where she sang in the choir, taught Sunday school, and started and led a quilting group.

Doris lived her life joyfully loving and serving Jesus, her family, and her community--an example to us all.
