Thank you to First United Methodist Church of El Dorado for making it possible to send these boys to Camp Horizon! We know this week will be filled with faith, friendship, fun and memories they’ll carry with them for years to come. Thank you for supporting the next generation!

Big Idea: We can share the good news.
Bible: Paul in Macedonia: Acts 16:6-15
Once you have finished a great puzzle, the next step is to share it with others so they can have a similar experience. This week we heard how Paul shared the good news and how Lydia decided to follow Jesus. Paul’s life was completely different because of what God was doing and he helps us see that we can share the good news.
We also played with some different kinds of “puzzles” in the forms of mazes and animal guessing games!

One of the most fun parts of solving a puzzle is feeling the joy we get whenever we overcome a difficult challenge. This week, we learned about how God spoke to Cornelius and Peter to show that everyone is welcome to follow Jesus. Their story helps us to see how God helps us overcome our challenges so that we can love like Jesus does. We also made a “people” garland to show that Jesus welcomes everyone to follow him, so we can love like Jesus does!
Big Idea: We can love like Jesus does.
Bible: Peter Meets With Cornelius: Acts 10:1-8; 11:1-18.

Big Idea: We Can Pray For Others
Bible: Peter Prays For Tabitha: Acts 9:36-43
Mazes may seem like simple puzzles but they are designed to trick us into bumping into walls as we search for the exit. This week we learned about how Peter prayed for a woman named Tabitha to come back to life. When we are puzzled about where to go or what to do next, Peter’s story reminds us we can pray for others.

When you put a puzzle together, it's a good idea to start at the corners and slowly follow the edges as a guide. This week, we heard about how Saul became a follower of Jesus after his unique experience on the way to Damascus. Saul showed us that we can follow Jesus even when we don't see the big picture right away. We put some puzzles together and even made some of our own puzzles to remind us that a man named Saul learned about God's plan for him ... one piece at a time!

Big Idea: Jesus makes all things new.
Bible: Luke 24:1-12
Once you plant a seed you’ll need to provide the right amount of water, sunlight and air so that it can bloom into something brand new. This week we heard about how Jesus died, came back to life and made a way for all of us to bloom and grow with God. He came out of the darkness and brought light into the world because Jesus makes all things new.

Big Idea: Jesus knows what we need.
Bible: The Healing at the Pool: John 5:1-9a
There are so many different sea creatures in the world, and to take care of them, we have to know what each one of them needs. This week we heard about the miracle of Jesus healing a man who couldn’t walk. The man thought the water would heal him, but Jesus had something different in mind because Jesus knows what we need.
We also played I Have, Who Has with ocean creatures made a “Walk With Your Mat” craft! 🐙🐳🐋🐠

Big Idea: Jesus calls us to follow him
Bible: A Miraculous Catch of Fish: Luke 5:1–11
Fish often travel in schools or groups because they have learned to trust each other and know things are easier as a group. This week, we looked at the miracle of Jesus providing Simon Peter, Andrew, James, and John with boatloads of fish. Jesus did something miraculous to build trust in these men, and he does the same for us because Jesus calls us to follow him. We also made some colorful paper fish to remind us about the miraculous catch of fish from Luke 5:1-11!
