In Romans 11:25-27, Paul outlines one of the mysteries of God: the salvation of Israel as they are grafted back in to the Root of Jesse. We find that our circumstances and our emotions can affect how we interpret God's Word, but His plans are perfect and will find completion in His own timing. Thank the Lord for His wonderful plan of grace, and that He knows the end from the beginning!

In Romans 11:23-24, we find that Israel will not continue in unbelief, but will be restored. It is sometimes easy for us to wrestle with the spiritual condition of unbelief, but we must seek wisdom, strength, and endurance to counter it and walk in the Spirit.

As we look at Romans 11:22, we find that it our pride that continually pushes us away from the Lord, but a humble spirit towards God is one of the keys to defeating that pride within us.

In Romans 11:19-21, we find a caution against spiritual arrogance and blindness. We often times need to have a clearer understanding, not who the world tells us we are, but who God tells us we are in Christ! We can learn through the example of the Pharisees and the Laodicean church to detach ourselves from a false sense of self-reliance and remember the grace and mercy we've been given through Jesus Christ!

In Romans 11:11-15, we learn that salvation through Jesus Christ was offered to the world not so that Israel would fall away from the Lord, but so they would return to Him! Have we counted the cost, that we might demonstrate the love of God to unbelievers in order for them to be drawn to Christ?

In Romans 11:7-10, Paul is pointing to the fact that God still has plans for Israel. We wrestle with God's sovereignty and how that reconciles with man's responsibility, but at the end of the day, our focus should rest on proclaiming the Good News of Jesus Christ!

04/12/2026

In Romans 11:5-6, Paul explains the nature of God's grace, and how our desire to perform or do good deed does not lead to salvation. Our good works are not a requirement for salvation, they are a result of it!

In Romans 11:3-5, Paul refers back to 1 Kings 19 when Elijah felt like he was alone in his faith. But God made a promise! Regardless of our situation, God is still faithful to fulfill His promises, and the resurrection of Jesus Christ extends God's grace and faithfulness to us!
