Korean pastors spent 24 hours together cultivating Sabbath—*Huishik* (휴식). The time was full of stories, tears, and laughter. Thank you, Dr. Hwang from PSR, for leading such a meaningful retreat.

The 739th Presbytery Meeting was held at Tri-Valley Presbyterian Church. We are grateful for the hospitality of Tri-Valley Presbyterian Church and for the service of the church’s Presbyterian Women (PW).

Your committee leaders have been busy over the past two weekends. They gathered for the 2026 Budget Conference on August 1 and the COM Training on August 8. We are grateful for their commitment and faithful leadership.

Your Executive Presbyter attended an interfaith memorial honoring those who have died as a result of ICE policies, followed by a procession to Senator Padilla’s office. Participants called on him to help ensure that people in detention are allowed to hug their loved ones during visits.

It was also meaningful to see Lori Y., co-moderator of Presbytery, and many other community members gathered in solidarity.
