Happy 14th Sunday in Ordinary Time. 29 years ago today I was ordained to the priesthood at Blackfriars, Oxford in England. I thank the Lord for His gifts and the strength to minister in his Church over these many years. I thank Him, too, for the opportunity of a little rest and study this coming year. His blessings for all of you this holy day.

I remember the bicentennial of 50 years ago. Since then, I became a British citizen too. No problem: one can love more than one country and people. Happy 250th Birthday to the USA! This was us 5 years ago yesterday for their 70th Wedding Anniversary. This morning we will be celebrating a Mass for the 75th Wedding Anniversary of Alicia and Stanley Martinez. Extraordinary! We are in but it will be some time before we get everything settled and in place. Fortunately, the dogs are adapting pretty well. Life begins on a new eastside... It was one last meeting and a luncheon with the OLV staff. I am grateful to them for all that they do for our parish. It's moving day. Yuma, here we come, ready or not!
