Sunday 10 AM starting October 5, 2014
Pl Welcome to Foundation Christian Fellowship.

I would like to encourage those who are still struggling to find a home church to consider checking us out. Our beliefs are consistent with Southern Baptist doctrine although we consider ourselves nondenominational. We strive to teach and to live by the Truth of God's Word. "Finally, brethren, rejoice, be made complete, be comforted, be like-minded, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you." 2 Cor. 13:11

This week we will look at family, or more specifically, our covenant family. Jesus, and the early church in Acts, changed the world-view of family, and we will see this demonstrated in John 19:25-27 when Christ is dying on Calvary's hill, and later in Acts 2:44-47. Join us at my home on Sunday 3-13 @ 10 am, and please remember to set your clocks ahead to avoid being late to church. Bring someone with you, and we'll see you Sunday. Blessings to you from Pastor Don & family.

Beginning of March and the Fellowship has outgrown my group texting limit--limit is 10, growth puts us at 20, praise God.And so I will go back to letting everyone know what's coming up on Sunday via FaceBook. This week we'll see how Elijah, that great and mighty prophet of God, (who had just come down from the mountaintop experience of defeating Baal in the Name of God) feels suddenly abandoned by the Lord. God has used him and has always provided for him, but when Jezebel tells him he'll be a dead man in 24 hours, he runs. He gives up. He wants to die, literally. What do we do in times of discouragement, when we feel frustrated and let down by God? When challenges and obstacles come, do we run? Do we give up? See you Sunday at 10 am, and we'll check it out. 1 Kings 19:1-16. Bring someone with you. Call me for directions to my home if you don't know how to get here. We will provide refreshments, worship, prayer, and the message. This will be Communion Sunday as well. See you then, blessings, Pastor Don & family.

This Sunday we'll be studying John 15:1-17. Gardener, vines, branches, fruit, walking in obedience--lot going on here. Join us if you can at 10 am on February 7 and fellowship, take communion, worship and study with us. Call me for directions to my home at 619-886-5582 and bring someone with you. Refreshments. God bless you, see you Sunday. Pastor Don & family

Christians sometimes have 'mountain-top' experiences when they go to camp or conferences or retreats, or simply read a passage of Scripture as though it's the 1st time they saw it. But these highs don't last forever--the cares of the world that they come back to will diminish the energy, although the memory is still there. But when we read about the time Jesus took Peter, James, and John to the mountaintop, God reveals something that will never diminish--if we see it, if we look past the obvious and hear what God says to us. Join us Sunday 1-24 @ 10am as we look at the Transfiguration in Matthew 7:1-5, and look past the glimpse of Glory so we can examine more closely what's important that we know. God said, "Listen to Him". Call me for directions at 619-886-5582 and bring a friend. Refreshments will be served. Bless you, Pastor Don.

Had a wonderful time last Sunday--actually had to bring in chairs from my daughter's playhouse in the back yard! The lesson from Matthew asked us a pretty straight-forward question when Jesus said, "But who do YOU say that I am," and all of us have had to answer that most basic tenet of our faith. This Sunday we will take a look at our fears, and we'll learn how to take our fear to faith. Faith will overcome every aspect of our fear, but if we're unsure of our faith, fear will overcome us. Join us Sunday Jan.10 at 10 am as we explore fear, faith, and God's victory. If you need directions to my home call me at 619-886-5582. We will provide refreshments, and hopefully enough chairs! Bless you and yours, Pastor Don

Welcome to 2016! We've been a tiny church plant for 15 months now, and have grown from 6 (including my family of 4) to more than 15. We will continue to grow with the new year as God sees fit. Everyone seems happy with the home fellowship setting, so we will continue to meet in my living room until it's physically impossible. This Sunday, 1-3-16, we will be discussing getting back to basics. Our text will be from Matthew 16:13-16, and the question that Jesus poses to every believer. "Who do you say that I am?" Please join us at 10 am for prayer, worship, communion, fellowship, and the Word. We will have refreshments, so call me for directions at 619-886-5582, and bring someone new. God bless you in a brand new year, Pastor Don and family.

We have been studying many of the major role models of the Bible--David, Daniel, Moses, Joshua, Deborah, Jeremiah, etc. With a week to go before Christmas, I'd like to introduce us to another: her name was Mary, and she was merely a very young teen-aged peasant girl who gave the Lord everything He asked for--her body, her womb, her faith and trust. She gave God everything she had, asked only a couple of questions to clarify things in her uneducated mind, and went on to be part of His plan for salvation. God has a plan for us, too, but obedience is a key ingredient. Call me for directions to my home on Sunday, 12-20 at 10 am--619-886-5582. Fellowship, prayer, preachin', and refreshments--sounds like a good Sunday morning. See you then, and bring a friend. Blessings, Pastor Don.

Well, it's almost that time of year, and we will be hosting our 1st Annual Foundation Christian Fellowship Christmas party after service this Sunday. If you can, bring a small, under $10 wrapped gift for the gift exchange (we have provided some extra gifts for those who can't afford to purchase one) Don't worry about it--it's just a fun thing we do. The message is from Luke 22 this week, the recounting of the last supper. This is usually where believers get their verses for communion, but there is a truth here worth examining--Christ, in His hour of pending agony, wanted to spend His last hours with His friends. He said it was His earnest desire to do so. He even washed their feet in Matthew 13. Did they get it? No. Do we get it? Good question. Join us Sunday 12-13 at 10 am as we explore the last supper, and ask ourselves that very question. Fellowship, communion, worship, and the Word! Bring a friend, and we'll party afterward. The church will provide lunch & dessert, so no need to bring anything. Thank you for being faithful, and we'll see you then. Call me at 619-886-5582 for directions, and our blessings to you. Pastor Don, Kristine, Josh, & Hannah.

Back from Nevada--had a great time with family. Kids & grandparents! At any rate, we're back and having service on Sunday @ 10am. We'll be discussing how disobedience isn't always an overt, blatant, in-your-face act of defiance--sometimes we have the best of intentions, but we end up outside of God's will for our lives. Sometimes we try to help Him without consulting Him (think about Sara). We'll look at an example from 1 Samuel. Join us for fellowship, worship, and the Word. Call me at 619-886-5582 for directions to my home--unless you know where I live, and then just come by. Make sure you bring someone, and we'll provide refreshments. Bless you, see you Sunday at 10 am.

My family is traveling to Las Vegas this Thanksgiving Holiday to stay with my parents (in their 80's) and take advantage of being able to spend time with them. Never want to be the one who wishes he'd spent more time with them, so I just do it! Everyone has decided not to meet this Sunday, 11-29, to spend time with their families, and so we will have our next service on 12-06. However, keep the date 12-13 open. After service we would like everyone to stay and enjoy BBQ'ed meat from the altar of my grill, s'mores from the firepit, music, fellowship, games, and just a good ol' time spent with friends from our tiny congregation. No Chargers game, no NASCAR, nothing but all of us. Even if the weather is foul, we'll go to Plan B in the house and under pop-ups! I guess it's our first annual Foundation Christian Fellowship Christmas party!! Bring a friend and have church with us. Be back 12-06, communion, fellowship, and the Word. Blessings, Pastor Don.

We've been having a great time of fellowship and Bible studies. Our numbers are growing nicely, and I expect that God will move us out of my living room by the end of the year, which is how I've been led so far this year. You are welcome to join us as we continue studying God's Word and how it applies to our lives as believers, and citizens of God's Kingdom. This Sunday, 11-22, we will be in Judges 4. What do we know about the Judges of Israel? Sure, Samson we know, and Gideon, and Samuel--but how much do we know about Deborah, the only woman among them? It is important to study the Old Testament because it is as much about Christ as the New. Join us at 10 am this Sunday. Call me for directions at 619-886-5582 if you don't know the way. We will provide refreshments. All we need is you. Blessings, Pastor Don
