Hi Facebook family, I write to you with a heavy heart wanting you all to know our last day at Word of Life Community Church was today. God has done wonderful, amazing things in our midst the past 2+ years and we rejoice over it. We are sad and burdened, but have much peace from our Lord about the closing of our church.
I am reminded of the words of Job in
Job 1:21 the Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.
Solomon said in Ecclesiastes 3:1, 4-6
To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven. A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away
Some seasons in life are much harder than others. Somethings in life are hard to comprehend and are hard to digest but we are setting our feelings aside and keeping our faith in the Lord. We are not allowing this or any other circumstance discourage us or cause us to stumble. We know that as long as we have Jesus, we are victorious and will never fail.
I want to say a special thank you to everyone of you who have prayed, supported and had any part in our ministry at Word of Life. God is not done with any of us. We believe the best is yet to come!
Many have asked me, so….what’s next? Are you looking for another property to move the church? For now we are not. We are taking this time to heal, to rest and to grow. We are praying and waiting on the Lord to manifest His will for us.
We truly believe when God closes one door, He is orchestrating opening other doors in His timing according to His will.
Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
1 Corinthians 15:57-58 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
Please don’t be sad, discouraged or burdened. Remember the words of the Apostle Paul in Philippians 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.
Love you all in the Lord,
Carlo Behnan 🙏
