God among us, we gather in the name of your Son to learn love for one another. Keep our feet from evil paths. Turn our minds to your wisdom and our hearts to the grace revealed in your Son, Jesus Chris, our Savior and Lord. —Bread for the Day, September 21

Today is Memorial Day. We remember, honor and give thanks for those in the armed forces who have given their lives for the sake of peace, justice and freedom. We remember the families and loved ones who supported their service, grieve their loss and carry forward their memory and legacy. (ELCA Prayer Ventures)

"We walk by faith, not by sight" (2 Corinthians 5:7).

During Lent, we are reminded that faith is a journey — one of trust, surrender and hope in Christ. As we walk through this season of reflection and repentance, we are called to trust in God’s promises even when the path ahead is unclear.

Christ goes before us. Grace sustains us. The cross leads the way.

“Lord, make us instruments of your peace. Where there is hatred, let us sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is discord, union; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; where there is sadness, joy. Grant that we may not so much seek to be consoled as to console; to be understood as to understand; to be loved as to love. For it is in giving that we receive; it is in pardoning that we are pardoned; and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life. Amen.” (A prayer attributed to Francis of Assisi, ELW, p. 87)

"Here I am, Lord. Is it I, Lord? I have heard you calling in the night. I will go, Lord, if you lead me. I will hold your people in my heart" (ELW 574).

"God who names you, Christ who claims you, and the Holy Spirit who dwells in you, bless you and remain with you always. Amen.” (Sundays and Seasons)

Stir up our hearts, Lord God, to prepare the way of your only Son. By his coming give to all the people of the world knowledge of your salvation; through Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

The Advent Tea is such a cherished part of the season, reminding us of the importance of fellowship. God never intended for His people to walk through life alone, and through fellowship, we experience so many blessings:

✨ Fellowship Gives Us a Picture of God – Reflecting His love and unity in our time together.
✨ Fellowship Provides Encouragement – Lifting one another up in faith and hope.
✨ Fellowship Reminds Us We’re Not Alone – Strengthening our bonds as a community in Christ.
✨ Fellowship Helps Us Grow – Building our faith through shared experiences and connection.

Thank you to everyone who joined us in fellowship at this year’s Advent Tea. May our time together continue to inspire and encourage us as we celebrate the season of Christ’s coming. 💜
