Our beloved friend, James Earl Newbill passed away this past Thursday, August 27th. Bro. James was a deacon at KBBC for many years and a wonderful man of who loved the Lord and his family. He was a cherished friend to so many. Please pray for strength and comfort for Maureen and their children and grandchildren and all who love him in the days ahead.

The funeral is Tuesday, Sept 1 at Pinecrest on Dauphin Island Parkway. Visitation 1:00, Service 2:00.

This is a Fox 10 article which mentions the new conference room that is part of the library expansion at the University of Mobile. The room is named for KBBC in appreciation of our donation to the Great Commission Fund at the University. This is a very special way the church voted to carry forth the ministry of the church we loved.

The University has started a major renovation of its J.L. Bedsole Library.

For those who do not yet know, Bro. Tommy Jernigan passed away Tuesday and is now with our Savior. Please pray for strength, comfort and peace in the days ahead for Sharon, Tracey and their families.
Though we no longer meet together at KBBC, the Jernigans have been part of the Kushla-Bethany family for many, many years and we would like to support them in any and all ways that we are able. Our ladies are planning to do a meal to be taken to the Jernigan home after the 2:00 service on Saturday. I (Tami Wyndham) will be reaching out to some of you tomorrow with more information. Thank you for praying for this family who served the Lord so faithfully and well at KBBC for a lifetime.
