Many churches in America and in Western countries will be celebrating the resurrection of Our Lord and there will be many passion plays on the last week of our savior's Earthly life. I rejoice, and thank you for all the hours and days of preparation that bring these ministries to fruition.
Here in the west we have at times taken our freedoms for granted. We post on Facebook and invite many friends to Passion Plays in our churches and it's an amazing Freedom that we have and we are blessed.
But last night I was reminded of the courage of some of our brothers and sisters. They will be doing these same things. Palm branches will be waving through their streets. Crucifixion pageants will be paraded through their villages and towns as they celebrate the resurrected Christ. They will have worship services and the good news will be proclaimed in their churches, but these brothers and sisters live under governments that are very contrary to the things of God and these brave ones celebrate anyway! They celebrate walking through their villages waving palm branches anyway! Let us pray for them and remember them because they Proclaim and celebrate the Risen Christ at a great cost. Sometimes this cost means that they risk their very lives to lift up the name of Jesus. We must remember them in prayer dear ones! Pray Psalm 91 over them! Thank you for praying. And Lord I thank you for my courageous brothers and sisters! May God God bless them and use them greatly for His glory! Amen!

Have you ever given any thought as to why you go to church? Or better yet, how you enter into your house of worship? Do you enter with heavy needs or do you enter with a sense of thankfulness inspite of your needs? Think about it.... May I encourage you to press through praise! Praise the One who is more than enough to not only take care of those needs, but will also lift them from your shoulders and carry them for you!
Psalm 100:4 " Enter his gates with Thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise His name!"

So on Monday I am traveling back home after an amazing conference. I just settled in my seat on the plane, and the young man seated next to me starts to complain. He just about mentions everything bad about an airline that you can say. My response?
I turned to him, tapped him on his arm and said," Dear you don't have to worry about this flight. We are going to be fine. I carry the favor of God upon me and because I do, everyone one this fight including yourself is going to benefit from this. "

When I spoke this, I literally felt a shift in the atmosphere. You see, this young man was verbalizing, some of what was spinning around in my head. When I spoke out this favor declaration it changed how I viewed the situation. This change of focus brought me peace. The rest of the flight was very pleasant next to this young man. As was the rest of my journey home.

So as you journey through your day today, remember that the favor of God rests on you, keep your focus on that which is good and lovely and see how good our God is and how much He loves you, have a blessed and focused day!

Do you have a Bucket List? You know that list of all the places you want to go, people you want to meet, etc. If you knew that you only had 5 years left on this earth, how would that affect your list? Where would you want to go?Would where you want to go be outweighed by who you would like to see? Maybe see a long lost friend one more time to say you're sorry or just hello and catch up and reminis. Would you try to bring reconciliation to a estranged family member? Would you go on that Dream Vacation someplace exotic? Would you spend your money giving it to the less fortunate? Try doing something you have always been afraid to do, maybe skydiving, or singing a song you wrote in front of an audience for the first time.
Let's look at our Bucket List from God's perspective. If you knew that Jesus Christ was the Son of God, and the only way to God the father, and He was coming back to rapture only those that name Him as Savior, how would you look at your Bucket List? What would you do? Would you continue to live your life just as you are, or would you look seriously at what Jesus said Himself about who He is. If you don't know what Jesus said, read the red words in the New Testament to find out what He said. Jesus said He was coming back for His own, the days are short, are you His?

This morning I was praying and reading the Bible. I was reading Isaiah 47. This chapter's heading read: The Fall of Babylon. In it the prophet spoke of mourning, the uncovering or exposure of sin and shame. It spoke of witchcraft, rebellion, disobedience, the oppression of the elderly, and disasters. What a dark read.

But there is one verse, verse 4 that shines through this dark chapter. "Our Redeemer, the Lord Almighty is His name, is the Holy One of Israel." What hope is found in this one verse! This is the hope we have even in the most difficult times. Even if a nation chooses to travel down a road that is contrary to God's Word, we as believers can still find rest in the hope that is found in our Redeemer, the Lord Almighty, the Holy One of Israel.

I researched the meaning of the word redeemer. According to the Free Dictionary. com it means:
1. a person who redeems someone or something.
2. Christ
So brothers and sisters, let's keep our focus not on the things of this world but let us look to our Redeemer, because in Him there is always hope, our Redeemer lives - Jesus Christ!

Floodgate will be at Shore Fellowship helping on Tuesday and Wednesday in their food pantry. Putting feet and hands to prayer, serving the community.
