Babies-Preschool: This week was Hooray Day! On Hooray Days, we get to celebrate God in a special way. Preschoolers learned that God leads us to have faith. In Hebrews 11, we read about people who had faith despite many challenges. They trusted and believed God, and we can too. At mealtimes this week, celebrate different, good things God has done. Share that God helps us have faith through trusting, following, and celebrating Jesus.

K-5th Grade: We had a special Game Changer session this week where we taught kids that God leads us to have faith. Hebrews 11 features stories about many faith-filled men and women. While they faced difficulties and challenges, they clung to faith in God—meaning they trusted and believed God. As God led them to have faith, He leads us to have faith too. When we follow Jesus, we can trust and believe God and have a forever relationship with Him. Take a moment this week to talk with your kids about what it looks like for them to have faith and trust Jesus in daily life. Share that we can have faith that God helps us love and follow Him.

Take 1 day this week to highlight these 2 things and spend 3 minutes talking about them:

Babies-Preschll: Allow your preschooler to put on a blindfold and talk about what she can and cannot see. Then remind her that, “Even though you cannot see, you can hear my voice and trust that I will take care of you. In a similar way, we can look to Jesus and have faith that He will always lead us to what is right and good.”

K-5th Grade:
Who are good people that you can trust and follow? What is even better about trusting and following Jesus?

Babies–Preschool
• Thank God that He wants us to be a part of His special plan to share Jesus with the world.
• Ask God to help you remember that sharing Jesus is exciting.
• Pray for a greater desire and excitement to share Jesus with others and look for opportunities to do so.

K–5th Grade
• Thank God that part of His plan to share Jesus with the world includes you.
• Ask God to help you share Jesus, which is important, exciting, and always worth it.
• Pray for one another, asking God to help you share Jesus with others.
• Choose one or two other people to pray for—that God would work through you to share Jesus with them and that they would want to trust and follow Jesus..

Babies-Preschool: Show your preschooler a piñata and ask, “What do you do with one of these, and why is it exciting?” Tell your preschooler that it is exciting to see the treats fall from a piñata. Mention that we can know the treats are for everyone. Sharing the good news about Jesus is also exciting because it is not just for us—it is for everyone!

K-5th Grade: How can talking about Jesus with your friends be a way of showing you care about them? What can happen when you share Jesus with your friends?

Babies-Preschool: Sharing Jesus is exciting! In Acts 2, the Holy Spirit came and empowered Jesus’ disciples to share about Him with boldness—even speaking in different languages! Many people believed in and trusted Jesus that day. Preschoolers learned that sharing Jesus is exciting, and God can work through us in incredible ways! Take turns with your preschoolers saying, “Jesus loves you!” with excited voices and faces. Celebrate that we get to share Jesus with others and that sharing Jesus is exciting!

K-5th Grade: This week’s Bible story came from Acts 2 and taught kids that sharing Jesus is exciting. God sent the Holy Spirit to fill the first Christians, who then shared Jesus. God performed a miracle by helping the Christians share Jesus in different languages so everyone could understand. Thousands of people believed in Jesus that day. Kids learned that sharing Jesus is exciting because God works to change lives and welcome people into His family. Invite your kids to practice sharing Jesus with you, sharing in the excitement of their words and faith.

Friday Family Fun

Babies-Preschool: Gather some small flowers, plants, or leaves with your preschoolers. Glue them on a piece of paper and write the names of your family members and some friends around each one. Allow your preschoolers to decorate around the plants, including adding some “soil” at the bottom. You could even glue dirt at the bottom of the picture. Keep this craft as a reminder that sharing Jesus is worth it. When we tell others about Jesus, we can know God is the One who helps people trust, believe, and follow Him.

K-5th Grade: Gather several index cards, a white crayon, and some watercolor paints or markers. Use the crayon to draw a heart on one of the cards, pressing down heavily to help the wax stick to the paper. Then invite your kids to choose one of the cards and paint or color over it with markers. See how many tries it takes to discover the card with the heart, which will be revealed when it is painted or colored. Share that you knew which card had the heart. We can know that sharing Jesus is worth it. Even if we do not know or see that people believe what we say, it is worth it because God does know, and He is the One who helps people trust and follow Him.

Take 1 day this week to highlight these 2 things and spend 3 minutes talking about them:

Babies-Preschool: Show your preschooler an image of the life cycle of a sunflower, asking him to point out what he notices. Say, “It can be hard to wait for a sunflower to grow from a little seed to a big flower, but it is worth the wait. We can remember that sharing Jesus is worth it because God works through us to help people grow in Him!”

K-5th Grade: Is sharing about Jesus a good thing, even if your friends do not want to hear it? What do you think God can do when you share your faith?

We taught kids this week that sharing Jesus is worth it. In Matthew 13:1-23, Jesus told a story about a farmer who sowed seed on different types of soil. While not all the seed grew, it was worth it for the seed that grew and multiplied. In a similar way, when we share Jesus, we do not know if people will listen and believe. But sharing Jesus is worth it because God does know and is the One who helps “seed” of faith grow! As a family, pray for someone—asking God to help that person trust in Him and asking God to give you opportunities to share Jesus.

Friday Family Discipleship
“Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” (Romans 10:13)
Do you remember where you were when you first heard about Jesus or who first told you about Him? Your kids are at the age when they are exploring, discovering, and learning so many new things.
They are learning the truth that God sent His Son, Jesus, to take the punishment we deserve for sin and to make the way for us to have a relationship with God forever. Every time you talk about Jesus at home, pray with your kids, and exhibit God’s love, you are sharing Jesus.
As you engage in conversations about Jesus with your kids (even when you do not know all the answers), you are helping them know and grow in Him. You don’t have to be perfect—you just have to be present and willing to allow God to work in and through you. They—and you—can be confident that God loves your conversations and your faith.

Take 1 day this week to highlight these 2 things and spend 3 minutes talking about them: Ask, “What are some different things you might put on a get-ready chart, and how does a chart like this help you?” Say that get-ready charts help us know the plan for the morning. God also helps us know His plan, and part of that plan is to tell others about Jesus.

K-5th Grade:
This week, take 1 day to ask these 2 questions and spend 3 minutes talking about them: How would you answer if someone asked, “Can kids tell people about Jesus?” What are some things you know about Jesus that you could share with other people?
