If you are wanting to decorate the grave of a loved one this Christmas Season and live out of the area or just can't get to or around the cemetery, we are glad to help and will place the blanket or bouquet for you! A full size fresh green grave blanket runs $85. plus tax and $20. delivery and placement charge. Pillow size costs $45. plus tax and delivery/placement. Bouquets start at $35. Valley View Cemetery will have each blanket, pillow or bouquet made to order and place securely to the ground and send you a photo of the decorated grave. To order, please call 618-960-1550.

Asked what does it mean to you to place the flags, Emma said, "I think it is important to put out flags to remember our veterans that served our country."
"I like doing the flags because it's a way to respect those who served our country for our freedom," commented Eve.
Carter volunteered, "Putting flags out is a way to honor veterans who fought for our freedom," and Harper added, "because you want to honor the veterans that have served and passed away."

If you are planning to decorate the grave of your loved one with a grave blanket or pillow, please consider purchasing from the cemetery. If you live out of the area or can't get to the cemetery, we can help! Grave blankets run $85.00. Grave pillows are $50.00.
Cemetery will make to order and secure greenery to the ground, and send a photo of the decorated grave. Please call 618-960-1550.

Today’s forecast tells us that we haven’t seen the last of Winter, but we are preparing for Spring, none-the-less! Depending on what Mother Nature brings our way, the cemetery grounds workers will be out in the coming weeks to pick up grave blankets, wreaths and other seasonal décor. If there are holiday decorations you want to hold onto, please come by this weekend to remove them for safe keeping. Thank you!

This holiday season, Valley View Cemetery is pleased to make available for purchase a variety of beautiful grave decorations for special order and placement at your family graves.
For family and friends of Valley View Cemetery who live out of the area or are unable to visit the cemetery, we are happy to order, pick up, place your grave decorations, and send you a photograph of the decorated graves.
Large grave blankets adorned with ribbon bows run $115.51 which includes sales tax, delivery and placement. Please order by November 20 for placement of the grave blanket around December 1, 2023.
Holiday floral cones or vases are also available for purchase. Each bouquet will be uniquely made with greens, pine cone ornaments and ribbon. Choose from $32.21, $42.94, or $53.68 price range plus $30.00 order, delivery and setting service.
Standing evergreen wreaths may be purchased for $64.41 plus $30.00 order, delivery and setting service. Saddle prices start at $69.78 plus $30.00 order, delivery and setting service.
Orders for grave blankets must be received by November 20. Cones, vases, wreaths and saddles may be ordered up until December 8. To order, please call (618) 960-1550, Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm.

With the start of Fall and looking ahead to the holidays, we are planning a week to remove worn, torn and battered floral arrangements and broken ornaments from all graves at Valley View Cemetery. To help us do a good and thorough job and prevent a mistaken removal, we ask you to remove any grave decoration you want to keep by October 15. As weather and other contingencies permit, we will conduct cleanup in the weekdays that follow and post when the work is completed.

It has taken me a while to figure out how to transfer this page to Jim Meredith, owner of Valley View Cemetery, but it is now in the process.
