More scenes from the Youth Mission Trip 2026. Three afternoons serving in Camp Point at the Community for Christ Assistance Center-deep cleaning and organizing their thrift store PLUS a lunch time of helping and visiting seniors at the Quincy Sr. Ctr. PLUS an afternoon of serving the needs of Quanada in Quincy. More donations to sort and ready for those in need. Each place we served shed a different light of who Jesus calls our neighbor.

Our worship series “the Promise” continues this week with a look at the presence of God into places and times unknown. The journey of the first generations of God’s people might speak to our own beginnings, wanderings, and hope for God to be beside us.

We will also hear a short synopsis of the youth mission trip and honor our church’s identity as an Open & Affirming congregation. Come ready to sing praise, offer prayer, and be moved by Holy Spirit!

Quincy - Ursa - Camp Point IL — serving up smiles and good food for a few days at Horizons Soup Kitchen. Plus a little lake beauty at our home away from home, The Ursa Retreat House.

Summer is here and this Sunday, our worship series on Genesis begins - “The Promise”. From the first moments of the created order to the discipleship of Jesus to the ever-present Holy Spirit we are covered before, during, and to come!

This Sunday in worship we will commission the Youth Mission Team for their coming mission trip. Sunday School for children (pre-K through 5th grade) will continue this summer — starting this week!

This week the Apostle Paul (2 Corinthians 4) reminds us of our “treasure in clay jars.” When we focus on the treasures of God rather than on the jars themselves, God’s gifts can grow. May we feel the gift of God’s presence this weekend as we gather for worship at 10am!
