My message this Sunday, 6-14, is based of John 16:1-4. Jesus said, "All this I have told you so that you will not go astray. They will put you out of the synagogue; in fact, a time is coming when anyone who kills you will think they are offering a service to God. They will do such things because they have not known the Father or me. I have told you this, so that when the time comes you will remember that I warned you. I did not tell you this at first because I was with you."
That message is for us just as it was for them. Accepting to follow Christ does not mean that life will become all peaches and cream. In fact, the targets on our backs grow larger for Satan's marksmen.
Sunday's title is "The Warning and the Challenge" and I look forward to seeing you. Pastor Mike.

Imagine sitting in prison waiting to be executed because you deserve it...Then an innocent man walks in and takes your place and stays behind to face your punishment while you walk out free.
That's what Jesus did for US. Don't take it for granted.

Imagine the outrage...if teachers started baptizing kids behind the kid's parents backs, the left would absolutely lose their minds!
But somehow, secret gender transitions, hidden pronouns and teaching ideologies that directly conflict with family values are just called "progress?"
You don't get to scream "separation of church and state" while pushing a whole new religion of confusion.

"On the day that the enemies of the Jews had hoped to overpower them, the opposite occurred." Esther 9:1

The Book of Esther describes a plot to annihilate the Jewish people. It fails because of two brave people - Mordecai and Esther. The name of God is not mentioned in the book, but that's the point. When God seemed absent and danger was near, the invisible hand of our Lord was working behind the scenes to save and deliver his people.
Sometimes we face danger and sorrow, and we wonder if God is near. Yes, he is! He is watching; his hand is moving and his grace is available. That's why we can be thankful even in tense times. The devil may threaten to undo us, but in the providence of God's grace the opposite will occur.
"The Lord's wisdom is seen in arranging the smallest events so as to produce great results. Everything, even the most minute, as well as the most magnificent, is ordered by the Lord."
