Christ Alive Community Church

Christ Alive Community Church We do church differently! We seek to create a church experience that replenishes the soul. We meet for Service on Sundays @ 10:30 a.m. Christ Alive!

Community Church is a non-denomination congregation that is passionate and excited about the Good News of Jesus Christ. In a demoralized world, we bear witness to the excessive stresses and burdens placed on families today. So, we do church differently. We seek to create a church experience that replenishes the soul and revives the hope for an abundant life. With our invigorating children’s progra

ms and intentional adult groups, we form lasting relationships that are sure to provide sustaining support through the valleys of life. Whether you’ve been thinking, praying, hoping, or looking for a place to belong, we say welcome and invite you to come join this adventure of faith.

I'd rather hear "He's really taking this Jesus thing too far" than hear, "Depart from me, I never knew you."

Imagine the outrage...if teachers started baptizing kids behind the kid's parents backs, the left would absolutely lose their minds!
But somehow, secret gender transitions, hidden pronouns and teaching ideologies that directly conflict with family values are just called "progress?"
You don't get to scream "separation of church and state" while pushing a whole new religion of confusion.

"On the day that the enemies of the Jews had hoped to overpower them, the opposite occurred." Esther 9:1

The Book of Esther describes a plot to annihilate the Jewish people. It fails because of two brave people - Mordecai and Esther. The name of God is not mentioned in the book, but that's the point. When God seemed absent and danger was near, the invisible hand of our Lord was working behind the scenes to save and deliver his people.
Sometimes we face danger and sorrow, and we wonder if God is near. Yes, he is! He is watching; his hand is moving and his grace is available. That's why we can be thankful even in tense times. The devil may threaten to undo us, but in the providence of God's grace the opposite will occur.
"The Lord's wisdom is seen in arranging the smallest events so as to produce great results. Everything, even the most minute, as well as the most magnificent, is ordered by the Lord."
Charles Spurgeon

"If I knew God then like I do now, I wouldn't have made those mistakes. But if I hadn't made those mistakes, I wouldn't know God like I do now." Olivia Nell

Satan deceived a third of the angels that were actually in the presence of God. So imagine the power he has over mere men and women who don't submit to the Word of God.

"If you really knew me, you would know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him." John 14:7
No, Jesus was not claiming to be God. Rather, he was saying that you could see God through the words Jesus spoke, since it was God who told him what to say; you could see God through Jesus' miracles since it was God working through him. In other words - Jesus was such a perfect representation of the Father that they could be seen as 'one and the same.'
In the upper room Philip said, "Lord, show us the Father and that will be enough for us." You can sense Jesus' frustration when he responds, "Don't you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time?"
My message this week is titled, "The Vision of God," and is based on John 14:7-14 as Jesus struggles to help his disciples finally 'get it.' See you Sunday, Pastor Mike.

"It's not unloving to say that Jesus is the only way to heaven.

It's unloving to pretend there are other ways." Shane Pruitt

My message Sunday is titled "The World's Hatred." It is based on John 15:18-21 as we move through the events of Jesus and his disciples in the Upper Room. I urge you to take note of the hatred that is raising its Satanic head against our Biblical cousins the Jews and Israel. As radical Islam gains a foothold here Christians will be next. Remember - Jesus could not lie! I give you, as Jesus prayed, John 17:3: "Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, THE ONLY TRUE GOD, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent." In other words, Allah is a fake, just like Baal and Zeus. I'm afraid the day is coming when reciting such a verse publicly will cause Christian suffering. Stay in the Scriptures because strength is there. See you Sunday, Pastor Mike.

"See, I have taught you decrees and laws as the Lord my God commanded me, so that you may follow them in the land you are entering to take possession of it. Observe them carefully, for this will show your wisdom and understanding to the nations, who will hear about all these decrees and say, 'Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.'" Deuteronomy 4:5 and 6.
One of my favorite pastors says you may think of Bible study as a chore or obligation, but the Psalms use the word "delight" to describe our relationship with Scripture. Psalm 1:2 says our delight should be in the Word, day and night. Psalm 94:19 says his word will delight us even in the multitude of our anxieties. Psalm 112:1 tells us to delight greatly in God's commands. And Psalm 119 contains 9 exclamations about delighting in the Lord's Word.
Christians should delight in the Bible. If your desire is to please God, reading his Word is a key part of learning how to please the Father. Each time you come to Scripture ask God to show you something that will help you please him. As he shows you his wonderful truths, be careful to observe them, because this is your wisdom.
"Can you honestly say that the Bible is a delight to you? If you don't desire the word as much as you'd like, there is a solution. Ask the Lord to teach you to delight in it. Then start reading and meditating on a passage." Charles Stanley
