FBC Edom

If you are in need of a church family we would love to have the opportunity to minister to you. At First Baptist, it’s all about connecting—to God, to other people, and to service. Located in beautiful East Texas, First Baptist Edom is only 20 miles west of Tyler and 20 miles east of Canton. This is a great fellowship dedicated to proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ! For more than 150

years, we have served families in our church and community by providing sound, Biblical teaching and preaching, children and youth programs, as well as opportunities for worship and ministry together. Whether you are a young professional, a family with preschoolers, or a senior adult enjoying retirement, we have a place for you! We would love to meet you and worship with you. Come and be a part of our family at First Baptist Church of Edom.

During our March mission trip to Mexico, we’ll be hosting a women’s conference designed to uplift and empower local women. We still have 20 women who need sponsorship to participate, and we would love for your family to partner with us in making this possible.

Good morning church! We hope that you are staying warm 🔥 but more importantly we hope that you are eager to get into Gods word!

Here are some of the major themes that we have covered throughout Genesis so far. We hope that you will read through them with your family and reflect on them together.

Here are some questions to help guide your time:

How do we see the need for Jesus and the gospel in these chapters?

What is one step of faith/obedience we should take this week?

How can we pray for each other as a family today?

(Only 10 photos per post, the other 4 to follow)

Church family, due to the expected inclement weather tonight, we have made the hard decision to cancel worship service tomorrow.

We believe gathering together is valuable and important—it is a joy and a priority for us as the body of Christ. But we also feel the responsibility to make decisions that help keep our church family safe.

While we will not gather in person tomorrow, we hope you will still join us in worshiping the Lord as a family by reflecting on the past 14 chapters of Genesis together. We will be posting a devotional to guide you through this time in God’s Word.

So grab some coffee, gather your household, and spend time reflecting on what God has been teaching us through Genesis.

We will continue to update everyone as needed. Thank you for understanding, and please stay safe.

Church family, with an ice storm expected this weekend, we are closely monitoring weather conditions and road safety.

Please be on the lookout for a possible service cancellation or schedule update Saturday night. We will communicate any changes through our page, text service and instagram as soon as a decision is made.

Our desire is always to gather together, but the safety of our congregation is important to us.
We encourage everyone to use wisdom, stay safe, and check in on neighbors who may need assistance. Thank you for your understanding and flexibility.
