1. First Chronicles was written after the current events we're reading about. It records history after the fact. In 6:15, we get a sneak peek into something that will happen in the future. What is it?
2. Review Leviticus 26:14-17, Deuteronomy 28:49-52, and 1 Samuel 12:14-15. Based on what 6:15 says will happen in the future, what can we assume the Israelites will eventually do?
3. God says He'll bring them back to this land someday in the future, after their time in exile is over. Based on that promise, why would these genealogies be important for their return?
4. What new role does David establish for the service of the temple in 6:31-32?

1. The story in Luke 10:1-12 resembles the story in Matthew 10:5-15. If they're the same story, why might the numbers of people involved be different?
2. Compare Jesus's words in 10:18 to Isaiah 14:12, Ezekiel 28:11-19, and Revelation 20:1-10. What incident do you think He's describing to His disciples?
3. When the disciples rejoice that they have power over demons, Jesus tells them they're focusing on the wrong thing. What does He say they should rejoice about instead?
4. What legal loophole is the lawyer trying to find in his conversation with Jesus?
5. Based on Jesus's parable, who is your neighbor?
6. How would you summarize Jesus's words to Martha?

1. Who is Asaph focused on in the first half of Psalm 73? How does this impact his thoughts and emotions?
