PASTOR'S RESIGNATION:
Over the past two years, God has been leading me to seek Him regarding my family’s future and the future of Baptist Temple Church. During this time, I have wrestled in prayer over the direction I believed He was calling us to. I have carefully evaluated my calling and leadership and ultimately sought to listen to, obey, and follow God’s guidance. With both sadness and hope, I want to share with you that I am resigning from my position as Pastor of Baptist Temple Church in Edna, TX.
I have accepted a call to serve as the next Pastor of First Baptist Church in New Baden, TX. New Baden is a rural farm-and-ranching community near Franklin, TX. While we are saddened to leave, we are also hopeful and excited about this new season of ministry. At the same time, we remain confident in what God is doing and will continue to do at Baptist Temple Church. God is good, and He is always at work. Just as I trust His plan for my family, I trust His plan for you.
Understand that we are not leaving for any negative reason—we are simply following God’s call.
As many of you know, Baptist Temple has been my first pastorate. During my time here, God has stretched me, sharpened me, and grown me as a shepherd. I am deeply grateful for how He has used each of you to shape and strengthen me in ministry. I will carry forward the lessons, relationships, and growth that we have shared together.
Please know how much your warmth, support, and encouragement have meant to my family and me. I have truly enjoyed the conversations, the laughter, and even the simple moments shared over coffee. It has been a joy and an honor to serve as your Pastor. Thank you for your love and support.
Our last Sunday with you will be May 24th.
