This parable uses a farmer scattering seeds to explain how people receive the word of God.
The seed is God’s message, and the four soil types represent the condition of the human hearts.
The only variable determining success is the listener’s receptivity.
God wants us to hear his word, understand it and embrace the message, so that we can produce spiritual fruit and yield an abundant harvest.
