Psalms 34:18 The LORD is near to those who have a broken heart, And saves such as have a contrite spirit.

Wow did you see what this says. God is near to people with broken hearts and saves those have been crushed.
That is some amazing news for anyone going through anything. God does not leave you to wallow in your pain. He does not leave you to suffer. See when Jesus went to the cross is was for much more than cleansing of sin. It was for cleansing of anything and everything that could take our joy away.
In other words God wants you to have joy and not brokenness, happiness and not beat down. Strong and not hurt. Well and not sick. This is what God wants for you. Will you accept it today.

1 Kings 12:8 But he rejected the advice which the elders had given him, and consulted the young men who had grown up with him, who stood before him.

Elders and people you grew up with. Now I am not speaking of age here but of maturity in faith. We want to here what our friends and family have to say. We want their advise; however, their advise is not always sound.
Who we need to get advise from is the people that have been walking with God much longer than us, not the people that are in the same place or younger in faith than us. To grow we have to listen to those men and women of God who have walked a walk of faith much longer than us. They have wisdom of God to tell us how to approach things. They have been listening to God longer and we need to allow them to sow into us.
It is not a bad thing to reach out to them. Actually it is exactly what God has put them in our life for. To sow into us so we can grow stronger in the Lord.
