When God created you, He designed you to be a gift to the people in your life! God then gave you specific talents and skills to be that gift. He gave you ears to be a listener and eyes to see the needs of others. Our Father gave you a heart filled with His hope so those around you could see His presence in your life.

Because we are aware of our own sins and shortcomings, it is not always easy to believe we are a “gift.” We may be hesitant to open ourselves up to others fearing they will see the “real” us – imperfect, sinful, a failure. Ah, but that’s when God can use us in spite of our weaknesses and imperfections. Because we have received His forgiveness, through the guidance of the Holy Spirit we can share His message of hope and salvation in both words and deeds.

Be a special gift to someone today by sharing the beautiful message of hope that the grace of God gives us through His Son, our Savior, Jesus. His gift to us is eternal life with Him. What a gift! Read the complete devotion here: https://bit.ly/3ri2wUM

Being told you have “Martha Syndrome” may not be a compliment. Martha hosted Jesus and His disciples in her home. While her sister Mary listened to Him, Martha complained that she was the only one working. Jesus gently counseled that distractions were preventing her from the one thing she needed — hearing the words of God.

When her brother Lazarus was ill, Martha sent for Jesus, believing that He could heal Lazarus. Even when Jesus arrived days after her brother’s death, she affirmed her trust in His power stating, “I believe that you are the Christ, the Son of God“ (John 11:27b). A strong statement of faith even prior to the raising of Lazarus! Martha had, after all, heeded Jesus’ advice of hearing the words of God.

The last mention of Martha is a touching one. John records simply, "Martha served" (John 12:2a). No fanfare, no fuss — just faithful Martha, sharing her gift of hospitality in service to her Lord. That is a “Martha Syndrome” worth imitating. Read the rest of the devotion here: https://bit.ly/34CTTti

Complete forgiveness is shown to us when God says He will remember our sin no more. It’s not that He’s forgotten our sins, but rather that He chooses not to remember them.

How does your forgiveness compare to God’s forgiveness of you? When someone has wronged you, have you followed Jesus’ example of forgiving and then choosing not to remember it again? It’s not the easiest thing to do, but it is God’s will that we forgive each other as He has forgiven us. "Forgive us our sins, for we also forgive everyone who sins against us" (Luke 11:4). https://bit.ly/2Gcmhd7

Christian parents pray with their children and encourage them to pray in their own words from an early age. Prayers are said at mealtimes, at bedtime, and anytime in between. When major decisions or times of crisis occur, prayer is the first thought for Christians.

God promises to hear and answer all the prayers of His people for the sake of His Son Jesus, our Savior and Redeemer. He wants us to come to Him with our needs, requests, praises, and thanksgivings. The Apostle Paul encouraged the Christians at Thessalonica to "… pray continually …" (1 Thessalonians 5:17). Read the rest of the devotion here: https://bit.ly/3jd1JPI
