The weather is about to change so our friends with the Refresh Shower Ministry are accepting
clothing donations for there clothing bus .

Individuals select a change of clothes and shoes prior to their shower.
So they can feel Truley refreshed after that hot shower .

If you've been feeling inspired to declutter your closet, now is the perfect time.

Bring your donations of men's and women's clothes and shoes to Westwood Church of Christ . I know they will bring joy to those in need.

A drop-off box is conveniently located on the side of the building at 3100 W Danforth Rd, Edmond, OK 73012.

During this season of gratitude, we will be sharing some parts of Cimarron that stirs thoughts of thankfulness!

🧡 We hit the jackpot when Westwood agreed to host Cimarron. After months of searching, we felt the hand of God when we first walked the Westwood grounds. We are so grateful that Westwood answered the call to provide space that nurtures a redemptive movement within their community– a movement of connection, beauty, servant hearts, and imagination. Thank you, Westwood!

Last year, we opened Oklahoma City’s first permanent winter shelter at 1601 NW 4th Street. At the end of the season, we had seen over 3,500 unique guests between November 1, 2023 and March 31, 2024. Many of those people had never interacted with our services before and were able to connect to advocacy at our Day Shelter, housing programs, supportive employment, and more. We were honored to provide this safe refuge for our most vulnerable neighbors.

The time has nearly come to open our doors again. Even though the weather has been positively beautiful this week, we know that cold temperatures are just around the corner. Starting November 1, 2024, the Homeless Alliance Winter Shelter will open daily at 4 PM. The shelter is low-barrier, meaning that all are welcome 7-nights-a-week through the end of March. It has the capacity to shelter 300 adults. Guests can once again access beds, kennel space for their pets, water, a meal, restrooms, blankets, gloves, hats, socks, and indoor personal belonging storage.

We want to thank our community for joining us to make this shelter possible once more. The Arnall Family Foundation's continued financial support of this project has enabled us make necessary improvements to our space and processes. Several volunteer groups have also helped us reset the shelter to prepare for our first night.

There will be many ways to get involved in supporting our winter shelter this season. Stay tuned to our social media or visit our website to learn more: https://www.homelessalliance.org/get-involved
