What does it look like to follow Jesus not only on Sunday, but in every part of our lives?

This morning, Mark Britton shared from Colossians 3:1–17, reminding us to put aside anger, pride, and division and instead clothe ourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, patience, forgiveness, and love. Whether we are at church, at home, or in the workplace, our faith should shape every word we speak and every action we take.

May we remember who we are in Christ, remain rooted in God’s Word, and “do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus.” Thank you, Mark, for sharing this encouraging and practical message with us today!

We’re so grateful for this meaningful and blessed time together, worshiping and lifting our voices to God, led by our choir and praise band.

Today, we concluded our “Good News” sermon series with a powerful vision from Revelation 7. A great multitude from every nation, tribe, people, and language gathered before the throne of God.

From the founding of First Pres to the churches we have helped plant, our story has always been rooted in mission.  God calls us to look beyond our walls and imagine what He might do next.  New life through Jesus is not only for Edmond, but for the metro, Oklahoma, and the world. We are rooted here, sent outward, and centered on Christ.

The world does not need monuments to our name. It needs more communities where people can encounter the living Christ.  That’s good news.  That’s our mission. And that’s our vision.

We hope to see you back tonight for our Night of Worship at 6:30 p.m. in the sanctuary.  Together, we’ll lift our voices through beloved hymns and worship led by our choir and praise band.

A new school year begins Monday for our Early Childhood Program (ECP) at First Pres!

Our teachers have been preparing their classrooms and hearts for a new year filled with learning, growth, and joyful moments.

Before the halls fill with the joyful sounds of children, our ECP staff gathers in prayer, asking God for wisdom, strength, and guidance for the year ahead.

Please join us in praying for our students, families, teachers, and staff as they begin this new adventure together. May God bless our ECP community and use this ministry to share His love and the hope of new life through Jesus with our community and beyond.

What a great first night back at The Current!

From sharing a meal around the table to kids and students growing in faith, and our worship teams rehearsing together, the church was filled with community, discipleship, music, and plenty of energy.

Thank you to everyone who helped make the Gathering Meal possible and to all our leaders and volunteers who invested in the night.

There’s even more to come! Beginning September 6, Pastors Eric and Bobby will lead a new class exploring the life, theology, and lasting influence of John Calvin. We hope to see you next Wednesday as The Current continues to bring our church family together in the middle of the week!

We loved this Sunday!

Guest preacher Rev. Luke Parker shared “Good News for the World” from Acts 1:1–11, reminding us that the hope of Jesus is not meant to remain within the walls of the church. Empowered by the Holy Spirit, we are called to carry the Good News into our community and throughout the world.

We also commissioned Rev. Dr. Bobby Griffith and Rev. Dr. Todd Michero, praying over them as they continue serving Christ and leading His Church.

As a new school year begins, we celebrated and prayed for the teachers who faithfully invest in the next generation. We were especially grateful to highlight our Early Childhood Program and recognize its wonderful teachers and staff.

May we all enter this new season ready to share our stories, invest in others, and be witnesses of Christ’s love here in Edmond and wherever God sends us.

On Sunday, our own Steve Shelton shared “Amazing Grace” on classical guitar. A beautiful reflection of the message Pastor Bobby brought from the parable of the lost coin.

Bobby reminded us that God sees every person, even when the world overlooks them. Our worth does not change when we feel lost, hidden, or surrounded by darkness. Grace notices. Grace searches. Grace finds us and brings us home.

Steve is blind, but his life and music bear witness to a deeper kind of sight: a faith that recognizes Jesus and trusts in His grace. As he played that familiar melody, the words seemed to speak even without being sung: “Was blind, but now I see.”

Thank you, Steve, for sharing your gift with us and reminding us that seeing Jesus is not only about what we perceive with our eyes, but it is also about knowing, trusting, and following the One who has always seen us.

Today, the Great Hall was filled with opportunities to grow, serve, build relationships, and find a place to belong. Thank you to all our ministry leaders who hosted tables and shared the many ways people can get plugged into the life of our church. Your passion and commitment help make First Pres a community where everyone can discover their gifts and take a meaningful next step.

Pastor Bobby’s message from the parable of the lost coin reminded us that love notices who is missing, lost does not mean worthless, and grace keeps searching until what is loved is found. God sees and values every person, and as the church, we are called to notice, welcome, and make room for one another.

Connection is about more than filling a calendar. It is about being known, growing in faith, serving with purpose, and helping others experience the restoring love of Jesus. If you didn’t get a chance to visit the ministry tables today, there are still plenty of ways to find your place at First Pres. We would love to help you get connected!
