ALPHA WARRIOR DEVOTIONAL�1 June 2026

“The Fight For Your Attention”

There are several battles going on in and around each of us. The battle for our salvation and once that is secure, battles for our attention become increasingly intense.

There is no scarcity of distractions. Work, money, the internet, A.I., video games, T.V., and a host of things that, on the surface aren’t bad, but are they good for us as believers to focus on?

What we spend our attention on is what we prioritize. Is it our children, our work, our drive for success?
What are we spending the majority of our attention on?
Checked your screen time lately?

God makes several promises throughout the Bible. And one character trait of God is, because He is completely Holy, He will not break His promises.

“But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”
Matthew 6:33 (NIV)

When we focus our attention on God and the things of God, He makes another promise statement.

“You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”
Jeremiah 29:13 (NIV)

We WILL find Him. He is waiting for a deep, intimate relationship with you, His daughter or son.

Matthew 13:22: “…but the worries of this life, the deceitfulness of wealth and the desires for other things come in and choke the word, making it unfruitful.”
Mark 4:19 (NIV)

So why should we focus more on God than the world?

“Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them. For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world. The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever.”
1 John 2:15-17 (NIV)

“…don’t you know that friendship with the world means enmity against God?”
James 4:4 (NIV)

We, for a time being are in this world, but God calls us to not be of it. Yes, this means that we will be different, maybe even a little strange to those who don’t understand what a deep and intimate relationship feels like with their Creator. But what priorities could possibly take precedence over that relationship?

Father, help me to focus first on You and Your will, and You promise everything else will be as Your will desires. Help me to hear Your voice in Holy Spirit and abide in a deep, full relationship with You.

“The Power To Grasp”

“For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭3‬:‭14-‭19‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Paul is praying for the believers in Emphasis, and even for believers today, a deep and heartfelt prayer that, as believers, we gain the power to grasp the magnitude and vastness of Christs love for us.
Even before the garden of Eden, Christ knew and agreed to go redeem us from the fall, and He is still redeeming today, through a love the ‘surpasses knowledge.”
This love is palatable, ingrained and lived, not just felt.
It is so deep it penetrates the soul and permeates throughout the life and very existence of every born-again believer.
At least it can.
It’s here and available, all we have to do is grasp it.
If we embrace it, search for it as if it is our most cherished possession, and refuse any counterfeit the world tempts us to put in its place.
This love, Christs love, spans eternity until we will live in the depths of it every moment when we are eventually with Him in paradise.

This passage outlines a pathway to living in Christ’s “knowledge-surpassing” love and experiencing a foretaste of heaven on earth—being filled with God’s fullness amid daily life. It is not primarily about future heaven but present spiritual reality through the Holy Spirit.

“God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.” Romans 5:5
As the Spirit strengthens us, Christ settles down and makes His home in our hearts by faith (v. 17). This is an ongoing, intimate relationship, not just initial salvation.

Romans 8:38-39: Nothing “will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.”�This love is multidimensional:
wide enough for all,
long enough for eternity,
high enough to reach heaven,
deep enough for our lowest moments.

Lord: Help me to grasp the depth of Your love for me. Help me to live in the security that, no matter what is going on in my life, what storms or trials, triumphs or victories I am experiencing, Your love surpasses all, and is eternal.
Give me the power to completely believe (faith) that nothing, no-thing, can separate me from Your love. Help me live in its depths every minute of every day, experiencing a heavenly abiding here on earth.

“A Blessing for You”

Blessings are very powerful prayers. Blessings in the Bible are declarations of God’s favor, protection, grace, and peace.
The Lord loves when His children pray blessings over each other, and He loves to honor those blessings.

One way to bless others is to pray scripture over them. God loves to hear His Word prayed back to Him.

If you haven’t had a blessing prayed over you recently, I would love the honor of paying the following over you today:

“I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being,”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭3‬:‭16‬ ‭NIV‬‬

“May God give you heaven’s dew and earth’s richness—an abundance of grain and new wine. May nations serve you… May those who curse you be cursed and those who bless you be blessed.” Genesis 27:28-29

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:13

“And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:7

“May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.” 2 Corinthians 13:14

Heavenly Father, I pray Numbers 6:24-26 over the reader right now:
“The Lord bless you and keep you;
the Lord make His face shine on you and be gracious to you;
the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.”
In Jesus powerful name, amen!

“Eagerly Awaiting”

Holy Spirit is right there, eagerly waiting to draw you into a deep, vibrant friendship with Him today! He’s thrilled at the thought of lavishing His love and affection all over you. He passionately wants to steer you away from the sins that wound your heart and grieve His, and He’s longing to lead you into an incredible adventure of walking hand-in-hand with Him every day.
Take time right now to pray, invite the Holy Spirit to fill you fresh and strong, and create space in your life to experience the powerful reality of His presence!

As a born again believer The Holy Spirit is right here with you, actually living in you, ready to grow something beautiful inside your heart—His own fruit.
These aren’t just nice qualities to chase after; they’re the very nature of Jesus being formed in you, ripening through your daily walk with Him.
As you open your heart more and more, He produces this harvest in you:
Love – Not the fleeting kind the world offers, but His deep, sacrificial, unconditional love flowing through you toward God and others and God’s love in you.
Joy – Much deeper than happiness, Joy is a gladness that doesn’t depend on your circumstances. It’s the Holy Spirit bubbling up inside you with spiritual delight, even in hard seasons, because you’re held by Him.
Peace – That profound, unshakeable calm that guards your heart and mind. When storms rage around you, His peace whispers, “I’ve got you.”
Patience (or longsuffering) – The gentle endurance to keep loving, keep trusting, and keep waiting without losing your tenderness.
Kindness – Warm, tender-hearted compassion that reaches out. It’s Jesus’ touch extended through your words, your hands, and your presence.
Goodness – A purity and moral beauty that flows from being close to Him. It’s not about being “good enough”—it’s His goodness shining through you.
Faithfulness – The loyal, trustworthy spirit that shows up, stays committed, and keeps its word—just like He does with you.
Gentleness (or meekness) – Strength under control. A confident, humble, considerate strength that doesn’t overpower others but draws them in with the softness of Christ.
Self-control – The Holy Spirit’s power in you to say “no” to what harms you and “yes” to what brings life. It’s freedom, not restriction.
These fruits grow together, not in isolation. The more time you spend with Him—praying, listening, yielding—the more naturally they blossom in your everyday life. You can’t manufacture them in your own strength. He cultivates them as you abide in Him.
Right now, would you like to pause and invite Him to highlight one or two of these fruits He wants to ripen in you this season? He’s so excited to do this with you, hand in hand. Just whisper His name… He’s already near, He is - eagerly awaiting.

Holy Spirit: tune my heart to hear Your still - small voice. I want to completely change my life to living every moment with You; You in me, me in You. Guide me, direct me, speak to me, I am now listening.
In Jesus’ mighty name, amen!

“And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you.” John 14:16-17
