Snow Storm Update - Please come Saturday at 5 PM!
Saturday January 24 - 5 PM Mass will be celebrated
All Sunday Masses are CANCELLED January 25
Monday January 26 - Morning Mass Cancelled and the Rectory will be closed
NOTE: Canon Law gives pastors the authority to dispense their parishioners from the obligation to attend Mass for a serious reason. St. Matthew's parishioners are dispensed from their Sunday obligation this weekend. So missing Mass is "not a sin" this weekend and you should not confess it! No one is held to the obligation if they feel danger in traveling. We all know of times when people drove through dangerous weather to get to church. It might happen this weekend - so we need to cancel Masses to keep people safe. The priests assigned to celebrate the Masses will celebrate private Masses later in the week for the intentions in the parish bulletin. Thanks for understanding!
