St. Matthew's Philippine American Association (SMPAA) Founded April 10, 1980, the focus of SMPAA is to foster unity among Filipino parishioners and the entire parish Community of St. Matthew Church. We support St.

Matthew Church while maintaining our heritage, culture and tradition based upon our Christian values and beliefs. We provide financial assistance to St. Matthew Church in the maintenance of the church and school. We assist various parishes in the Philippines that are ravaged by natural disasters. We raise funds to provide scholarships to deserving students of St. Matthew Church and the Diocese of

Metuchen Commission for the Filipino Apostolate in their religious activities to enhance our spiritual fulfillment.

Starting March 10, 2012 at 7 PM, St. Matthew the Apostle Parish will have a tagalog mass every 2nd Saturday of the month sponsored by the St. Matthew Philippine American Association (SMPAA). Please invite your family and friends to join us for this special mass. We are also looking for volunteers to help us with the mass. If you are interested, please send an email to [email protected]. FEAST of SAN LORENZO RUIZ de MANILA, in coordination with the Filipino Apostolate of the Diocese of Metuchen, is celebrating the Feast of San Lorenzo Ruiz (the 1st Filipino saint) on Saturday, SEPTEMBER 24, 2011 at the Cathedral of St. Francis of Assisi in Metuchen, NJ. Mass will start at 2 PM with Bishop Paul G. Bootkoski as Presider and Homilist. Fellowship and refreshments will follow immediately. All are welcome.
