"Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth."

When most people hear that word “meek,” they think of a weak, shy, reserved or timid person who lets everybody run all over them. But that’s not at all what it means to be meek. Meekness is not weakness; it’s strength under control. Meekness is like a wild horse that has been tamed. He’s just as strong, just as powerful, has just as much speed as before; but now that strength is under control. You can walk up to that horse, pet him, lead him around, and ride him. But don’t be fooled. He has the same power and tenacity as before; he’s just learned how to control it.

When you’re a meek person, you don’t have to go around trying to straighten everybody out. You don’t respond to every critic. People may be talking about you, but you don’t let it bother you. You may have the power to do something about it, but you realize your time is too valuable. You don’t fall for every distraction. Instead, you keep your focus on what God has called you to do. You keep your strength and power under control so that you choose to stay in peace and move forward in the victory the Lord has in store for you.

🙏🏼 PRAYER 🙏🏼
Father in heaven, thank You for the blessing of meekness. I choose today to be a person of self-control. Help me to know when to speak and when to listen, when to respond and when to hold back, so that I can honor You all the days of my life. In Jesus’ Name. 🙏🏼 Amen.

For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.
1 Thessalonians 4:16

Revelation 21:4-5 The longest verifiable lifespan on record is Jeanne Calment who died in August 1997 at the age of 122 years, 164 days. The youngest person in the top-ten longest-lived people died at the age of 116 years, 45 days. Remarkable, but nothing in comparison with Methuselah who died at the age of 969 (Genesis 5:27).

We know of two people who did not die physically: Enoch (Genesis 5:24) and Elijah (2 Kings 2:11). For the rest of humanity, the statistics are 100 percent: We all will die—except Christians living when the Rapture occurs (1 Thessalonians 4:17). The same thing that causes physical death—the curse of sin—means that sometimes death is not pleasant. Sickness and injury leading to death remind us that surely this is not the norm, not what God intended. Indeed not. The day is coming when “there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying … no more pain.” Why? Because God has said, “I make all things new” (Revelation 21:4-5).

Have no fear of dying or death. In Christ, you—your body, your health, your life—will be made new.

I don’t so much pray that my death will be without pain, but that it will be without doubt.

Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness." - Romans 4:3

You can be a believer yet act as though there is no God. Whenever you fret over life circumstances, you immediately demonstrate unbelief. Whenever you move out of fear or anxiety, you believe a lie about God's nature.

Each day your actions affirm or convict you of your belief system. It reveals who the central focus of your life really is - you or God. It reveals who you place your ultimate trust in - you or God. It is one of the great paradoxes for believers. One day we can believe Him to move mountains. The next day we can question His very existence.

Peter believed God and walked on water.
A sick woman touched the hem of His garment and was healed.
A Canaanite woman believed and freed her daughter from demon-possession.
In what circumstances do you act as an "unbeliever"? Ask God to increase your level of trust so that your actions match up with one who believes every day.

God, sometimes I wonder why in the world I go through the things I do. What lesson is it that I am supposed to learn? I rejoice in the times You have allowed me to have "faith experiences"--times that have tested and strengthened my faith in You. I know that faith experiences are usually not easy, but they end up being a blessing in disguise. Please, hold me up and keep me from stumbling. Continue to bless me that I may be a blessing to others and to You. Work through me so that my faith experiences will be a testimony to help others who need a special touch. I love You, Lord. In Jesus' name, amen.

If Psalm 15 were the core value of every business plan and purpose statement and reviewed with every employee before hiring, the workplace would be a very different place. What type of person can live in the presence of God? The psalmist tells us:

"He whose walk is blameless and who does what is righteous, who speaks the truth from his heart and has no slander on his tongue, who does his neighbor no wrong and casts no slur on his fellowman, who despises a vile man but honors those who fear the LORD, who keeps his oath even when it hurts, who lends his money without usury and does not accept a bribe against the innocent. He who does these things will never be shaken" (Ps 15:2-5).

Are you blameless in your approach to your work life? Are you truthful in all your dealings? Do you treat customers, vendors and fellow employees as your neighbor? Do you say what you do truthfully and do what you say? Do you follow through even if the outcome may not be positive? Will you lend money without usury to a friend and refuse a bribe? If you can say yes to these questions then you are a Psalm 15 man or woman and you can dwell on God's Holy hill.

Friend, pray that God makes this psalm a part of your life and begin to ask God to show you how to live this chapter in all you do. Amen.

What is the secret to greatness? Jesus, the Son of God proclaimed that the first would be last, the weak are the strong, the foolish are wise, the simple are complete, and the poor are rich. All of these statements are counter what we typically believe and certainly live out. We are taught from early childhood to be independent, controlling, confident, one's having, after all we all know the "Golden Rule", he who has the gold makes the rules, Right? Jesus says that the lowly, poor and humble will posses the Kingdom of Heaven, not the strong, proud, and rich. Jesus states here in Matt. 20, that "Greatness" will come only through being a servant. He also sets it straight when we think we've earned position in the Kingdom because of service.

Matthew 20:20-28 (TVT)
20 As Jesus was speaking about the things that were to come, Zebedee’s wife, whose sons were among Jesus’ disciples, came to Jesus with her sons and knelt down before Him to ask a favor.
Jesus: 21 What do you want?
Zebedee’s Wife: When the kingdom of God is made manifest, I want one of my boys, James and John, to sit at Your right hand, and one to sit at Your left hand.
Apparently the wife of Zebedee secretly thinks her sons have worked harder and sacrificed more for Jesus than the other disciples, and she probably suspects that Jesus loves them best. She thinks He will at least do the right thing and reward their hardest work and most loyal service. She also hopes that if her sons are there on the nearest, closest thrones, she may spend eternity near and close, too, clutching onto their coattails.
Jesus (to all three): 22 You don’t understand what you are asking. Can you drink the cup I am going to drink? Can you be ritually washed in baptism just as I have been baptized?[e]
Zebedee Brothers: Of course!
Jesus: 23 Yes, you will drink from My cup, and yes, you will be baptized[f] as I have been. But the thrones to My right and My left are not Mine to grant. My Father has already given those seats to those for whom they were created.
24 The other ten disciples learned what the Zebedee brothers had asked of Jesus, and they were upset. 25 So Jesus called the disciples together.
Jesus: Do you want the Kingdom run like the Romans run their kingdom? Their rulers have great power over the people, but God the Father doesn’t play by the Romans’ rules. 26 This is the Kingdom’s logic: whoever wants to become great must first make himself a servant; 27 whoever wants to be first must bind himself as a slave— 28 just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve and to give His life as the ransom for many.

I submit to you today that; The Secret to Greatness in the Kingdom of God is not power or position, it is being conformed to the image of Jesus. To those of us who battle with pride, stuff and things; I simply say, all of that will fade and pass away. I've watched people over the years struggle with all their might to hold on to things like that, only to see them leave their grip anyway. I know, because I'm one of them! The reality is this; only what is done for Christ will last. So, to have greatness, we must become a servant. You, might be saying, "Oh, Whoopie!" Here's the truth sometimes we serve others in order to get what we want, Ever watch "Barter Kings"? But, a true servant looks for legitimate needs to meet, no matter where they are, with joy, compassion and heart, in the power and fullness of the Holy Spirit. It takes boldness and confidence to be a servant, that boldness and confidence comes only in Jesus.
I leave you all with this thought. We have to reorder and reschedule our lives, revise our priorities, look at things the way they truly are in us. As long as our flesh is in charge, nothing will change. Change comes only through the resurrection power of the Holy Spirit.
