Dear God,
thank You for this day and for the story You’ve written in my life. Your word in 1 Peter 3:15 says, “But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect.” God, I don’t have to have every answer or be the most educated person in the room. I just have to share what You’ve done for me, how You brought me out of darkness, how You made a way when there wasn’t one, and how You’ve walked with me through every season. Help me never be ashamed of my story because no one can argue with what You’ve done in my life. It’s not my job to change hearts, that’s Yours. I just have to plant the seed. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Come and hear, all you who fear God, and I will tell what He has done for my soul. -Psalm 66:16

This month's scripture reader is Ms. Jody Mumaw. Jody wears so many hats for our church that trying to name them all would use up all this space. We love that she plays the piano each Sunday and has a servant's heart for our little disciples class. She coordinates with Family Promise for us to be able to help them when needed. She's a member of every committee imaginable and I know first hand how hard she works to keep us straight at the administrative council meetings keeping the secretary minutes. Thank you Jody for all you do for our little church on the hill. We are so blessed to have you and we love you!!

Dear God,
thank You for this new week and for the promise that You’ll be right there with me through every single moment of it. Your word in Isaiah 40:31 says, “But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings as eagles. They shall run and not get weary. They shall walk and not faint.” God, I’m standing on that word this week. There is no problem greater than You and no obstacle I can’t overcome with You by my side. I come before You with a heart full of gratitude for how faithful You’ve been, and I’m trusting that Your goodness and mercy will continue to follow me all the days of my life. I give this week completely to You and I give You all the praise, the glory, and the honor. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

The Lord your God in your midst is mighty; He will save, He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love. -Zephaniah 3:17

Dear God,
thank You for bringing me through another day. As I get ready to rest tonight, I’m lifting up every person You’ve placed in my life, my family, my friends, and everyone who has impacted me in different ways. Your word in 1 Thessalonians 5:11 says, “Therefore comfort each other and edify one another, just as you also are doing.” God, I ask that You bless them, protect them, and draw them closer to You while they sleep tonight. Where there’s a need, provide. Where there’s pain, bring healing. Help me wake up tomorrow ready to shine Your light to everyone that’s around me. I trust that You’re working in their lives just like You’re working in mine. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, one will lift up his companion. -Ecclesiastes 4:9-10
