Dear God, thank You for this new week and for choosing to breathe life into me again. This year has been full of blessings, but also full of challenges, and I know I’ve only kept going because of You, not my own strength. Your word in Colossians 1:17 says, “And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist.” God, I thank You for holding me together through everything I’ve been carrying. Your promise in Revelation 21:4 reminds me that You’re never blind to my tears or deaf to my prayers, and that gives me hope as I step into this week. I don’t fully understand what You’re doing, but I trust You knew it from the beginning. I’ll keep putting my hope in Your word and waiting on You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

The Lord will perfect that which concerns me; Your mercy, O Lord, endures forever. -Psalm 138:8

Dear God, thank You for bringing me through another day. As I get ready to rest tonight, I think about King Solomon and how he could have asked You for anything, but he asked for wisdom instead. Your word in 1 Kings 3:9 says, “Therefore give to Your servant an understanding heart to judge Your people, that I may discern between good and evil.” God, I want that same heart tonight. I don’t just want to know what to do, I want the wisdom to actually do it well. Help me spend more time seeking You so that You can expand what You’ve called me to and equip me for things I don’t yet know how to handle on my own. Establish in me what only Your wisdom can build. I give this night completely to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. -James 1:5

Dear God, thank You for bringing me through another day. As I get ready to rest tonight, I’m asking You to help me be faithful to everything You’ve given me stewardship over. Your word in Mark 10:9 says, “What God has joined together, let not man separate.” God, whether it’s my relationships, my calling, or the assignments You’ve trusted me with, help me treat them the way You intended, with faithfulness, patience, and love, instead of walking away when things get hard. I don’t want to cheat on what’s been good to me. Help me build character through every hard moment and trust that You’re establishing my steps through the process. I give this night completely to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much. -Luke 16:10

Scriptures of the week!

9/1 Mark 14:38 38 Keep awake and pray that you may not come into the time of trial; the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

9/2 1st Thessalonians 5:17 17 pray without ceasing, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

9/3 Titus 2:11-12 11 For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all, 12 training us to renounce impiety and worldly passions, and in the present age to live lives that are self-controlled, upright, and godly

9/5 Luke 6: 41-42 41 Why do you see the speck in your neighbor’s eye, but do not notice the log in your own eye? 42 Or how can you say to your neighbor, ‘Friend, let me take out the speck in your eye,’
when you yourself do not see the log in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your neighbor’s eye.

9/6 Titus 3:1-2 Remind them to be subject to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good work, 2 to speak evil of no one, to avoid quarreling, to be gentle, and to show every courtesy to everyone.

Dear God, thank You for bringing me through another day. As I get ready to rest tonight, I’m reminded that You’ve never cared about my past, only about how much I love You. Your word in Luke 7:47 says, “Her sins, which are many, are forgiven, for she loved much. But to whom little is forgiven, the same loves little.” God, when I think about how much You’ve forgiven me, it makes me want to love deeper, not just You, but the people around me too. Just like You said from the cross, “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do,” help me carry that same posture of love and forgiveness in my own life. I don’t want to love little when You’ve forgiven me so much. I give this night completely to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you. -Ephesians 4:32

Dear God, thank You for bringing me through another day. As I get ready to rest tonight, I’m choosing to stop worrying about everything I can’t control and bring it all to You instead. Your word in Philippians 4:6-7 says, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” God, You’re the only one who can truly fix what I’m carrying right now, and tonight I’m coming to You instead of trying to figure it out on my own. Thank You for being patient with me through every trial and for promising to walk me through it. Let Your peace stand guard over my thoughts and my feelings while I sleep. I give this night to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Cast your burden on the Lord, and He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved. -Psalm 55:22

Dear God, thank You for this new day. I lift Your name on high and ask that it would be You I follow today, not idols, not people, not anything this world offers. Your word in Romans 5:3-5 says, “We rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.” God, help me put on the full armor today, the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, and the shield of faith, so I can stand firm against whatever comes my way. Give me a heart that’s relentless in prayer and a spirit that doesn’t give up. I trust that my labor today is not in vain. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. -James 1:12
