Obituary
David Corpus passed away on September 24, 2026, in his home surrounded by his loved ones in Edinburg, Texas, at the age of 70.
He was born on November 7, 1955, in Edinburg, Texas, and lived a life marked by devotion, hard work, and deep love for his family. David was a loving, passionate, and generous man whose presence brought comfort and strength to those around him. He was the most amazing dad, husband, and grandfather, and his family was blessed by every moment they shared with him.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Pantaleon and Santiaga Corpus, as well as his brothers Ramiro and Celso Corpus. Their memory remained close to his heart throughout his life. He is survived by his beloved wife, Rebecca Corpus; his three children, David Corpus Jr. and his wife Lilyvettee, Esteban Celso Corpus and his wife Sandra, and Crystal Lee Lopez and her husband Ivan; and his five adored grandchildren, Esteban Celso Corpus Jr., Emily Mae Mendoza, Matthew David Corpus, Ivan Michael Lopez, and Chelsea Grace Lopez. He is also survived by his siblings, Lupe Corpus, Joe Corpus, Vita Corpus Gonzalez, Armando Corpus, Luisa Ramirez, and Alice R. Corpus, along with many extended family members and friends who will cherish his memory.
David was a hardworking and dedicated man who took great pride in his trucks and in the work he did throughout his life. He gave so many years of service to Dorado Oil Company, always giving his best and approaching every task with pride and commitment. His strong work ethic and steady character earned the respect of those who knew him, and his example left a lasting impression on his family and all who worked beside him.
Above all, David will be remembered for the love he gave so freely. He was a devoted husband, a proud father, and a deeply cherished grandfather whose greatest joy came from his family. His kindness, generosity, and passion for life touched everyone fortunate enough to know him. He lived with purpose, cared deeply for others, and found meaning in the simple but powerful blessings of family, faith, and hard work.

Though his passing leaves a deep void, his legacy of love, dedication, and strength will continue through the lives of his wife, children, grandchildren, siblings, and all who were blessed to know him. David Corpus will be remembered always with love and gratitude, and his memory will remain a treasured part of the hearts of his family forever.
Visitation will take place Tuesday, September 29, 2026 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 pm at Rivera Hillcrest Funeral Home,1300 N. I-69C Frontage Rd in Edinburg. Funeral mass will take place at 10:00 am Wednesday, September 30, 2026 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Edinburg.
