¡Mira que bueno es Guatemala! A group of NLC youth spent the last 10 days learning and exploring in the Cloud Forest of Guatemala at CCFC (Community Cloud Forest Conservation) through an LPGM program! Among learning about agroecology, biodiversity, and education for women and girls they also explored the incredible caves and waterfalls that make up the forest and had run-ins with all creatures great and small. Now home, they will work together and present what they learned at NLC. Bantiox a wue, Gracias, and Thank you to all who were a part of this trip including especially the people of CCFC, and LPGM!

Our Urban Trek crew just arrived home!

Before departing Sky Ranch we had our last worship service and our camp counselors sent us off. We had such a great time this week engaging in service, fun, so much laughter, and growing in love for God and one another!

Yesterday was quite the day! Our youth on the Denver Urban Trek finished out their programming in Denver and now we are headed up the mountains to go to Sky Ranch.

We started our mornings volunteering with food ministries: Metro Caring and Same Cafe. In the afternoon we went to Urban Servant Corps and learned about the New Beginnings prison ministry. We finished our day with an epic two touch football game.

We are so excited for the rest of the week!

The Normandale Youth have officially dived into our Denver Urban Trek!

Our first day was filled with travel, settling in to our host church, Augustana Lutheran, and meeting our counselors from Sky Ranch.

Yesterday was our first full day of service and exploration of Denver. We started our day volunteering at Wholly Kicks, a nonprofit that provides free shoes and socks for those who need them. After that we toured the Colorado Capitol and learned about CO history, followed by an art tour of downtown.

We are so excited for our second full day!
