Dear Lord, help me remember You chose to be born in a humble manger, not a beautiful home. And didn't even have a place to rest your head. You willingly washed Your disciple's feet, covered in dust and many other dirty things, instead of demanding they serve you. You rode a donkey ... not a chariot or sleek horse.
Your humility and servant's heart are astounding and amazing. Please help me act like You today. Amen.

Our relationship with God should always cause us to extend mercy to our neighbors in need. Love is not walking past pain. Love is when mercy meets human pain and suffering.
Let’s honor our Lord by responding to the needs of others as He would.
Heavenly Father, please show me where my love has grown cold. Forgive me for my selfishness. Open my eyes and heart to truly see others, and help me to love them as You do, fully and sacrificially. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

• Let your children see you read and study your Bible.
• Let them into your prayers, modeling how you pray, when you pray, and why you pray.
• Share when you’re struggling and how you turn to your faith to help you through those times.
• Discuss your decision-making process and how faith and prayer influence your big and small decisions.

The first thing Jesus did after entering Jerusalem is the first thing He does after entering a life: He goes straight to the temple, to the place where we worship, and cleans out whatever is not part of God’s design. The process is called by many names: sanctification, surrender, getting right with God, but the meaning is the same. The recognition that with Jesus in charge, many things we used to do, say, want, are no longer okay.
Dear Lord, open my eyes to the dark areas of my life. Help me to address these areas with Your grace and truth. In Jesus’ name, amen.

It’s not that Jesus is against wealth. It’s just that He is grieved by anything that we value more than Him. We can work hard and make money, but when those things are the main pursuit of life, then Jesus isn’t. Placing Him first and foremost in our lives is the key to true prosperity. Don’t let riches—or the pursuit of riches— derail your pursuit of Jesus.

Jesus’ mission was simple: Diligently search for lost people, whatever their social standing, and offer them God’s salvation plan. As followers of Christ, we too have that as our mission. Let’s remember: We might be the difference between someone being lost and being found.
Take the time to look people in the eyes today and let them know: I see you. You matter. You are not alone.
