Knox County K*t-Ups Quilt Show of 2023.
Many thanks to all of the quilter's who shared their quilts with the community.
Special thanks to Sierens Palace in Kirksville for the loan of hangars when our hangars used last year disappeared. You saved the day!!

Reminder: Shop Hop is tomorrow June 13. We will not have a regular meeting next Monday at our regular time ( 3rd Wednesday). Come join us in July, the 24th at 1:30, in the basement of the Edina Methodist Church. We will hear all about the Shop Hop and will gear up for the Quilt Show September 9 at the Community Center, during Corn Fest.

Auditioning for border. This is 3/8 of the top. This quilt is #5 of my "using up precut scraps-1.5" squares into 6.5" blocks" quilt series. By the way--never cutting 1.5" squares from scraps again! Carla

Reminder: Monday March 20, 9am to 12:30, at the Methodist Church basement, we're meeting to start on our 2023 Raffle Quilt. We have the fabric. The pattern is made from many sawtooth stars and is very easy. I hope to get at least 10 stars completed. Sewing machine and usual sewing supplies are needed. No mats over 24" will be needed. Bring 12" and 6" square rulers if you have them. We will not need everyone to sew. As usual we need members to sew, cut, trim, and press. Anyone who just wants to visit or pop in to see how a quilt is being made is welcome! Carla

I've been looking for new patterns and went to Jordan Fabrics web site today to print out these free patterns. They have lots more freebies and have loads of tutorials on utube if you want to look. Enjoy!

Attention Knox County K*t-Ups Members. CHECK YOUR EMAIL! You have a current message about the Quilt Show this coming Saturday September 10 and the set up that now will begin at Noon on Friday, September 9.

Corn Fest week-end will soon be here and we invite quilters in and around Knox County Missouri to display their quilts at this show and enjoy the activities that will be taking place in Edina September 9, 10, and 11.
Quilts will be accepted at the community center in Edina between 2:00pm and 4:00pm on Friday the 9th. The show is Saturday, 9:00-4:00, with Quilts released from 4:00pm-5:00pm.

Just 10 days till we meet at 9am May 16 to sew on the raffle quilt. I just finished my 50 blocks. Please bring your completed blocks that day or send them with someone who will be there. If you would like to sew a few rail fences into 4 patches with gray in center you could check your accurate 1/4" seam and it'll speed things up a little that day. Happy sewing, Carla
