"How long will you grieve over Saul?"
In 1 Samuel 16, God confronts Samuel, who is grieving over Saul. Saul , the anointed king of Israel, disobeyed God and as a result was stripped of his anointing.
While Samuel is grieving, God asks him, "How long will you grieve over Saul?" Samuel is then instructed to go and anoint the next king of Israel.
If you're anything like me you've been let down by God's anointed. Whether its church leadership, fellow believers, or even yourself. Yeah I went there.
Often times we get so caught up grieving what we thought was God's perfect plan, that we fail to see the future anointing we are missing out on.
We grieve the past version of ourself that was on fire for God. We grieve the church that we left because we disagreed with business decisions. We grieve leadership when they turn out to be only human like the rest of us. While all the while God is waiting to anoint your future.
We can live in the past anointing and be ineffective, or we can stop grieving what we idolized and submit ourselves to new anointing.

Our words have POWER đź’Şđź’Ş

Matthew 3:2 John the Baptist, Jesus’ cousin: “Repent! For the kingdom of heaven is at hand!

Matthew 4:17 Jesus: “Repent! For the kingdom of heaven is at hand!”

These two passages show such unity. John was locked into his calling, and it’s evident that he was doing the work of Jesus. When we get on Jesus’ team we shout “Repent! For the kingdom of heaven is at hand” and what a time to shout it!

I encourage you all on this Sunday morning to be in tune to the mission of Jesus like John the Baptist was. Let’s be unified in one mission. And let’s tell the world.

In these uncertain times, our world is watching.

Friends, I would encourage us to use good judgement during these times. I encourage you also to be safe and use the brain that God have you.

I urge you to take precautions and practice good hygiene during this time. Even if you don’t believe this virus is a big deal, become all things to all people. Wash your hands. Respect boundaries.

This is a tender time in our world. It’s not just the United States. It’s the whole world. Let us be a bold church. One that heals the sick as we were commanded. But let us not be an ignorant church that abandons all sense.

I am praying for you.

You won’t be judged by what you did. You’ll be judged by what you were called to do.

Hey, everyone!

This is a season of preparation for me. I’ve been learning so much in Tulsa about God and the Bible. I’ve been learning how to live and walk like Jesus. I’ve been stepping out of my comfort zone. I’ve been growing.

With that being said, my two years in this place is almost over. It will be in almost 2 months exactly.

This May I am so excited to finally start moving in God’s vision for my life, and for his church.

This May, I am launching Chosen. And it will be something totally unique. We will serve our communities. We will be there for each other. We will be a generation of unity. We will make Jesus famous.

I appreciate your prayers and support in making this vision come to pass. I’ll have more details soon.
