Mission:
Valley View Student Ministry strives to develop, mentor,
and walk beside students in their journey with Christ. (1 John 2:3-6)

Pursue God: Students will be introduced, mentored, and challenged in their journey with Christ through our Wednesday night teachings, worship, small groups, and relationships with their discipleship group leaders. Build Community: Students will buil

d community to each other through our pro-grams, discipleship groups, and events. Students will experience the connection of a large community of Christ through our Wednesday night youth group time as well as getting to know each other in a smaller setting through our discipleship groups. Unleash Compassion: Students will learn to think of others before themselves and be the hands and feet of Christ. Through teachings, mentoring, and service projects stu-dents will serve God by serving others. This can be seen through our mission trips overseas as well as serving our local community. Capture the Next Generation: Students will be taught through teachings, mentoring, and spiritual development that Christ calls us to share His story with others. In or-der to affectively reach others we must first build relationships; relationships with the purpose of Discipleship. Every student will be encouraged to attend one of our Discipleship Groups or D-Groups. D-groups consist of a small group of students who meet together with a leader who help student in their walk with Christ through sharing their lives together. Programs:

Small Groups
Small Groups (discipleship groups) are groups that meet at different times during the week. Youth are paired up with an adult who will guide students in the ways of the Lord. The goal of discipleship is to make disciples who can then make disciples, teaching them to observe all that Jesus commanded: “until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming. Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into him who is the Head, that is, Christ” (Ephesians 4:4:13-15).

We encourage each student to get plugged into the life of the church. We encourage them to find an area of the church that they can serve in. We partner with other adults in the church to walk along side these students when they are serving. Events
Every event that we do as a student ministry will flow from our Core Values. Events may vary from out of the country mission trips to getting student together for a worship concert to student training seminars.
