Church of the Holy Rosary Edgewater NJ All are welcome to join our beloved parish. Daily Masses are celebrated in English in the Church at 8:00AM Monday thru Friday. (The Noon day Mass is in Spanish.)

Founded in 1904 and constructed between 1907-1910, the Church of the Holy Rosary located at 365 Undercliff Avenue in Edgewater, New Jersey is the last remaining house of public worship in the borough. Weekend Masses are celebrated in the Church at 5:30PM on Saturday evenings, and on Sundays at 8:00AM, 11:00AM, and Noon. SACRAMENT OF RECONCILIATION (Confession)
The Sacrament of Reconciliation is held in the Church from 3:00PM to 5:00PM Saturday Afternoons.

RELIGIOUS EDUCATION

Registration for the 2026-2027 semester is now open.

Effective September 2026, the Church of the Holy Rosary only offers Religious Education classes for the purpose of preparing children for the Sacrament of First Holy Communion and/or for the Sacrament of Confirmation. Unlike previous years, there are no classes for children who have received First Holy Communion, but are not yet eligible for Confirmation.

It is with deepest regret that we announce the passing of our very own Deacon Robert (“Bob”) Thomson. He served our parish faithfully for over 50 years. He will be missed. Deacon’s Bob’s funeral will be held at the Church of the Holy Rosary on Saturday, May 23, 2026 at 10:00 AM. The Mass will be concelebrated by Father Jose Abalon, Father George Ruane and Father Jerold Grieves.

May Deacon Bob rest in peace. 🙏
