Good evening, ladies. I just wanted to send an update on the group this week. Unfortunately, we're going to have to cancel; both Emily and I are sick. Hopefully we can reschedule for next Friday, though! We hope you all are staying healthy as we get back into the cold and flu season. I am praying for you all! 🧡

Also staying hopeful that we will get a few more warm/sunny Fridays so we can meet up at the new park, at least a few more times before winter hits us!🥶

Blessings to you and your families this weekend!❤️

Happy Hump Day, ladies! 😃We hope your week is going well and that you are experiencing joy in your life, wherever you're at and at whatever stage you may be in your motherhood journey.

We will be meeting this Friday at our normal 11 A.M. time at celebration park.

Our key verse this week comes from Nehemiah 8:10 NIV.
* For the joy of the LORD is your strength.

We're going to be discussing ways to experience joy through the day in and day out of life, because, let's face it, it can be hard to have joy when you break up fights between siblings a thousand times a day or clean up spilled milk, toys, clothes, and yes, sometimes even our husbands messes😅. Joy can be difficult when you and your husband are having a period of what seems like miscommunication or when it seems like the world around us is falling apart. As mothers, we get hit from every angle, whether that's with our children, marriages, friends, or our circumstances outside the home. Finding joy and wearing that as our strength can be difficult, but what if, even in these challenging times, we could reach out to the Lord to find our joy?

We are going to discuss practical ways of doing just that and implementing them into our daily lives.

So be thinking about ways that you find joy in your life and home. It can be as simple as playing peaceful music or going for a walk.

We look forward to hearing and sharing ideas and tools with one another, so together we can experience joy.🧡

Here's a little bio of Emily and Jess as we share our hearts for Raising and Praising:
Enjoy the read! 🤓

Hey mamas! 🤎
I’m Emily and I lead Raising and Praising alongside Jess! I’m a wife, homemaker and mother to two beautiful babies.
Before I started staying home I taught in the Olathe School District for four years teaching Family and Consumer Sciences. I love to bake, read and sew (especially with or for my babies)🤗 Fall is my favorite season and I am so ready for it! 🍁 I’m currently publishing a faith based children’s book about the fall season!
Raising and praising is something near to my heart that I have been blessed to lead with my dear friend Jess! Becoming a mother has been the most impactful growth in my faith. It’s truly incredible to see how God designed women to carry and nurture these little souls! Motherhood also shows me how much I need Him everyday to minister to my babies so that He may be glorified and that they may grow up to know Him and love Him. I’m so thankful for the babies he has blessed me with and the fellowship with other moms he has created through this group. This group allows moms to walk along other moms in their faith and through motherhood. It’s so important to have other moms for fellowship and encouragement in the spirit to pray for you and lift you up! This is a place where we come together to dig into scripture and prayer because we know that motherhood is truly discipleship. We would love to have you join us! -Emily🤎

Hello 👋🏼 mamas!
I'm Jess, a follower of Christ, a wife to Luke, momma to two sweet boys (2 and 5), and a little girl on the way! 🩷 I'm a homeschool momma and have a teacher's heart✏️ with a passion for children! Before having babies of my own, I taught kindergarten and under, and I have a love for early childhood education. While toddlerhood is challenging, it's also my favorite! 🤪 I'm a lover of Jesus, messy projects😅, the outdoors, health and fitness, creating new meals for my very allergy-intolerant husband🍞, pumpkin patches🍁, and if you ask me where my happy place is, I will say the beach every single time🏝️
When I became a mother, I was not faithfully following the Lord (at this time, my husband wasn't even a believer). Motherhood had a way of pointing out all my failures and my need for a Savior and His grace to get me through this thing called "motherhood". It was there that our journey as a family really began!
When I became a mom, there was so much I was unprepared for. You know the things no one tells you about, like how your heart doubles in size and the joy of it all, but also how the days can be long, worrisome, and lonely. I longed for a group of other moms where I could connect without judgement, be encouraged by the Word of God, and walk away with my bucket feeling more full than when I showed up. At the time, that seemed impossible to find; now insert [raising and praising]. This is so much of mine and Emily's heartbeat for this moms group. 💓 To create a place where moms can enjoy fellowship with one another while also being encouraged first and foremost by the Word of God and then by other women. A place where you can find grace in the journey of motherhood but also be challenged to be the woman and mother the Lord is calling each of us to be. Motherhood can be a lot of things, but one thing it shouldn't be is done alone because, let's face it, we're better together! We were made for community and need each other. Emily, and I hope that's what you find when you come to raising and praising. -Jess🩵

ONE MORE DAY!📢

Calling all mommas of all stages and walks of life, Raising and Praising is back, and we are ready for some much needed fellowship, encouragement, community with one another, prayer, praise, deeper faith, and of course food and coffee. We are excited to be starting back and look forward to seeing each of you tomorrow morning!☀️

Emily and I wanted to give you a brief introduction to raising and praising:

We are a mom's group that exists for three reasons: to bring glory to the Lord in all that we say and do, to encourage one another, and to get to experience genuine friendships with other moms. Whether you're new to Christianity or have been a Christian all your life, or maybe you're a mom with no background in faith and you're just trying to get through the day juggling diapers, feedings, getting the kids to school, husbands, and all the mom things and are just looking for other mom friends to be encouraged by rather than judged by, then we invite you to come check us out! Our hope and desire is that as each woman comes to raising and praising, she is met with the love of Jesus, the truth of His Holy Word, and genuine friendships from other moms, and we pray you walk away feeling encouraged and challenged to go deeper with your own faith and the not always glamorous journey of motherhood. Emily and I believe motherhood is a high calling, one of value and worth, and really a ministry of its own. While society may tell you differently and paint a different picture, God says otherwise, and we want you to feel encouraged and valued in the mist of the mundane life of being your kids chauffeurs, teachers, cooks, nurses, and on and on the list goes!

So if you're looking for a way to connect with other moms and for your kids to build friendships with others with no requirements other than an open heart, then we invite you to come as you are and check it out for yourself! Or at least enjoy the yummy snacks and coffee!😄

Welcome moms and expecting moms! 💛

We have missed all of you and we hope your summer break has been relaxing and refreshing for you and your babies! 🤗

We are so excited to announce that Raising and Praising will be kicking back up again this Friday September 8th at celebration park in Gardner at 11. We will have drinks and treats provided. While the children play us moms will be going over this Bible verse:

“This is the day the Lord has made; let’s rejoice and be glad in it.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭118‬:‭24‬ ‭CSB‬‬

We will be asking these questions:
1. What is something that brought you joy over the summer?
2. What is something that you are looking forward to this season in your walk with God?

We are so thankful to be able to continue this group and be able to come together in fellowship with other mothers as we raise our children to know and love the Lord!❤️

We hope to see you there! 🥳

Hello ladies! I hope your week is going well. In honor of Mother's Day, we will be focusing our lesson on moms and our influence as mothers.
We will be meeting at celebration park in Gardner at 11am. See you then!☺️

A few questions to think over for Friday's discussion:

What three things do you love most about being a mom?

What is one thing that is a struggle in motherhood?

What is the best memory you have of your mom, grandma, or a mother-like figure in your life?

What do you appreciate most about your mom, grandma, or mother-like figure?

What advice/encouragement would you give to a new mom?

What one thing would you reproduce for your children that you learned from your mom, grandma, or other mother-like figure in your life?

Our key verse this week comes from 2 Timothy 1:5:

"I am reminded of your sincere faith, which first lived in your grandmother Lois and in your mother Eunice and, I am persuaded, now lives in you also."

2 Timothy 1:5 NIV

Happy hump day momma's! I hope your week is going good and that you are enjoying this beautiful weather. This week we will be meeting at Veterans Park in Gardner at 11 a.m.

This week's verse is Romans 10:9.

"If you declare with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."
Romans 10:9 NIV

We will be discussing salvation and the confidence of the hope we have, and if you want to share your testimony, we'd love to hear it! I know we are all in different stages of our walk with Jesus, and I love that about this group, so maybe you just want to listen and be encouraged by the women around us.

Questions to think over:

How does following Jesus shape your journey in motherhood?

What is your biggest desire for your children?

Has following Jesus changed your marriage in any way?

We will have snacks and fellowship, so grab your kids, your Bible and come hang out with us!

See you Friday!
