Access Point Church

Access Point Church Contemporary, Bible based church in Edenton, NC designed to create an open access to Church, and easy access to God.

The word ACCESS produces a mindset of availability, admittance, approval and acceptance. Therefore, when we claim to be ACCESS POINT, we want people to see our purpose as a church to be a place of open availability, admittance for all, approval of everyone, and acceptance of anyone. Therefore, we wanted the name to connote our very vision and purpose which is; to be an approachable and receptive p

lace of fellowship and worship where God is more “accessible.”

ACCESS POINT desires to be, what we call, an “easy” church. Meaning, church was never intended to be difficult, but that is what many churches have become. We intend to break down the barriers that make church problematic or even unappealing to those outside of a local church. If we are truly going to reach those who have turned from church or who have never had any desire to step foot in church, then we must be an “easy” place to visit. That requires us to be a warm and inviting church, free from obstructions to worship and entry, and void of criticism and rejection. By “easy,” we mean we will be a place of ACCESS to everyone who can uncomplicatedly join us for a time of fellowship and worship in a completely relaxed atmosphere without the fear of accusation. Our goal is to be a place where people of every color, culture, and origin struggling with sin can, not only be accepted, but welcomed into a place of worship and fellowship together. The church found in Acts was simple; a meeting of like-minded people, who ate, fellowshipped, worshipped and prayed together without bureaucracy and devoid of requirements, so we too want to be like the early church. After all, our simple endeavor is to make church “easy.”
