Samaritan's Purse is responding to the catastrophic wildfire disaster in Maui. At least 55 people are now confirmed dead with reports saying there could be some 1,000 still missing. Hundreds of homes and businesses have been destroyed. We are preparing to airlift supplies, tools, and equipment needed on our DC-8 in the next few days. Volunteers will be helping families by cutting and removing trees and sifting through the remains of their homes to find any remaining valued or sentimental possessions, photos, etc.

We are working with local emergency management officials and church partners to respond to this crisis in Jesus’ Name. So many are in shock and devastated. Pray for our teams, that we would be the hands and feet of our Lord Jesus Christ, and pray especially for those who have lost loved ones and their homes in this tragedy.
