Hope Shores is a place where anyone can be part of the fun and everyone is a member of the family. You're invited to have silly amounts of both fun and rest in a place where you'll be known by name by the end of the first day—and challenged to grow every day after. There are no pretenses here—no pressure to impress or perform. Just the chance to unplug, be yourself with other people,
and let Jesus transform you. Where We Came From:
Hope Shores Bible Camp & Retreat Center was purchased in 1959 by the people of Hope Church in Richfield, MN to be a ministry of simple fun, intimate friendships, and Jesus-centered transformation for families and kids. Since 2003 we have been located on the shores of Rice Lake in Eden Valley, MN, after our previous property was destroyed by a tornado. We carried the same purpose, traditions, and community with us as we changed locations, and later our name. Originally called Camp Ojibway, we changed our name to Hope Shores in 2015 to reflect the hope of Jesus that anchors our ministry. It also references our connection with Hope Church, as well as the significant role our lakeside location plays in camp life. We want to know you by name and for you to come exactly as you are. Jesus matters. Everything we do is centered on Jesus and His transforming hope. Friendship matters. We build intimate relationships with each other, because that’s how we grow. Fun matters. There’s a lot to be learned in silly times together. And with no pressure to impress or perform, everyone ends up having fun. Where it’s safe to let Jesus change everything and where campers are known by name, lives are changed by God, and everyone has fun.
