Your gifts will help students start the school year prepared, confident, and ready to learn. St. Andrew Lutheran Church is proud to be part of an innovative new solution addressing two growing needs in our community: helping older adults remain in their homes and expanding access to affordable housing.

Through the new LSS Home Matching Service, homeowners age 55+ are thoughtfully matched with adults seeking affordable housing. More than just sharing a home, participants build meaningful relationships and create mutually supportive living arrangements. The program helps older adults age in place while providing stable, affordable housing options for others in our community.

Eden Prairie was selected as the pilot community for this initiative largely thanks to the leadership and advocacy of St. Andrew members Joan Palmquist and Sandy Perkins. St. Andrew has also provided grant funding to support the effort and is partnering with Eden Prairie Community Church and the Eden Prairie Housing Alliance to help make the program a reality. The program will launch first in Eden Prairie, with plans to expand to other communities as it grows.
