CBS News Texas is taking a moment of silence to remember the lives lost in the July 4, 2025, Hill Country floods.

One year later, we pause to honor the victims, their families, the Camp Mystic community, first responders, volunteers, and everyone whose lives were forever changed along the Guadalupe River.

May we remember them with love and compassion.

Over the last week, severe storms in North Texas brought tornadoes to Springtown, Runaway Bay and Mineral Wells. If you are looking for ways to support recovery efforts, the Horizon Texas Conference has set up a webpage with information about how you can help. That page will continue to be updated with news and opportunities to respond. https://www.htcumc.org/tornadoes-2026

Please continue to pray for all who have been affected, for first responders and relief workers, and for the communities beginning the long work of recovery.
