Walk for the Poor | September 19 | Belle Isle

That special time of year is quickly approaching. Our Walk for the Poor is scheduled for September 19. We will be walking again this year to help raise funds for us to help those less fortunate than us. We will have a display in the Gathering Space of church if you would like to sign up to talk with us or support those who are walking.

It is also the perfect opportunity if you would like to join our group in helping the poor in our neighborhoods. We will have someone in the Gathering Space to answer any questions that you may have and applications forms if you choose to join.

St. Vincent de Paul is an organization designed to help those who are less fortunate than us. Many needs help with utilities, rent, food or clothing. As Vincentians, we try to help whenever we can or lend a sympathetic ear. We can do home visits or work in the office.

St Andre Bessette has joined with the St Mary Magdalen Conference of SVDP. Your monthly donations help them help those in need. Consider walking on the 19th and/or offer a hour or so of your time helping them in the office at SMM

Reminder: This is the last week for all parish families to register for Children’s Discipleship Formation!

As we begin a new year of faith formation, we look forward to walking alongside our children and families as they grow in their relationship with Jesus, deepen their understanding of our Catholic faith, and discover what it means to live as His disciples. What a beautiful opportunity to plant seeds of faith that will continue to grow throughout their lives!

There is no greater gift we can give our children than the opportunity to know, love, and follow Jesus.

Our Afterschool Discipleship Formation program is a place where children can grow in their Catholic faith, build lasting friendships, and discover the joy of living as disciples of Christ. Together, we'll help plant seeds of faith that will continue to flourish for years to come!
