I have said it before. I love how the Bible is alive. You can read it over and over again and still discover God speaking new wisdom.
I am reading in Deuteronomy this morning. We all know that sin is sin and all it takes is one sin to make us a sinner. We are, actually, born sinners. However, there are degrees of sin which carry greater or lesser severities as far as impact and consequences. When considering sexual sins, we have them categorized in our society. We think of homosexuality as the greatest perversion (and Biblically and humanly, it is a great perversion). However, as far as carrying the greatest punishment, God saved that for adultery. According to Deuteronomy, a husband or wife who cheats on the other should receive the greatest punishment. Covenants are of the utmost importance and there is NO excuse for cheating. This includes cheating of the heart and mind. Committing adultery in one's heart is basically just as wrong and damaging as the physical act because all it is, is the not being able to act on what your really desire to do.
And this is just my thoughts on this matter: Ladies, when you are dressing like a straight up ho and posting those pics all over facebook, it is a form of cheating. You are advertising, what should be reserved for only your husband, to every other viewer on the planet. What is so jacked-up inside of you that you need that many men drooling over you. And if your husband doesn't care that you are giving everyone a peep show, something is wrong with him.
We should all, hungrily, read every word in the Bible and then reflect and see how we measure up. We are not in competition with each other. As believers, we are bound by and should seek the protection offered in the Word of God.
