We welcome Pastor MC Shin and his family this Sabbath with loving and open arms as they begin their ministry to our church and the Eau Claire community.
Pastor MC Shin discovered his calling to ministry while serving on the mission field in Southeast Asia in 1997. Since then, he has dedicated his life to sharing the gospel and serving in the Lord's vineyard. With more than twenty years of ministry experience, he has a deep passion for mentoring and discipling young people. Since November 2021, Pastor Shin has been serving as the pastor of Living Word Fellowship and the director of the Adventist Discipleship Center in Berrien Springs, Michigan.
Abigail Shin is a gifted musician with a passion for sharing the gospel through music. She has taught music at both Adventist and non-Adventist institutions in Cambodia, Korea, Myanmar, Thailand, and the United States. She currently serves as an adjunct professor at Indiana University, Lake Michigan College, a string teacher at Village Adventist Elementary School, and the music director of the Emmanuel Missionary Choir in Berrien Springs, Michigan.
Before moving to Michigan, the Shin family served as missionaries in Korea and Cambodia, where they were actively involved in evangelism, discipleship, and community outreach. They are blessed with three sons-Michael, Joshua, and Emmanuel-and together they are committed to serving Christ through music, mission,and outreach. As a family, they enjoy traveling, sharing God's love, and fulfilling Christ's Great Commission by making disciples wherever He leads.
